A lot of Fyfe’s votes would’ve been the umpires going “well, who was good today?, not sure, but Fyfe stood out I thought?. Yeah he did, give him some votes”.

I think he was more the moral tied winner in 2017 because he was rubbed out with a bullshit suspension and didn't get votes in a game he clearly dominated. Didn't think he was as good this year, so not surprised he didn't win it. Surprised it went to Fyfe, though.

It used to be that you would have to have an *all-time great year* to reach 30+ votes. Dusty's 2017 votes tally I could understand because it was legitimately up there with one of the best midfield seasons ever.

Fyfe's year was nowhere near that level.

Was always going to be tough for Paddy, in the end TK took way too many votes from him. Fyfe had nobody to contend with and is probably sleeping with a few of the umpires after some of those crazy vote getting rounds.

Can’t believe how many votes Fyfe got in losing sides, don’t watch Freo closely enough to really comment any further, but think Fremantle according to the umpires at least, meet the definition of one man side.

We are all Geelong supporters, but Fyfe is a totally deserving winner. None of us have seen all of his games, but every time I see him, he's a standout.

Fyfe winning is an absolute joke.

I could handle Neale, or Cripps, or Bont.

Fyfe had nowhere near a Brownlow winning season. He repeatedly got three votes in comfortable losses when he had sub-30 possessions.

I’m disappointed Danger didn’t win, but more angry that there were another 3-4 players more deserving than Fyfe.
