Does anyone think that being two players down (Galucci and Keath) had something to do with our capitulation last week? Not that it was a valid excuse for us to have waved the white flag, but maybe Port's win wasn't as meritorious as it may have seemed on the surface?

In an interview when he was still playing I remember Goodwin saying that physical intimidation was dead in this competition. That was before the Geelong and Hawthorn run of premierships.

For that reason I don't understand why so many supporters seem to have so much goodwill towards him still - he hasn't exactly been respectful towards us.

Also heard that the Geelong game took a bit out of them as well.
We played a bad game last week. It happens but we should have got selections right.
This Friday against Essendon will tell us more.
PS : Port need to average 43,943 for their attendances to equal last years average but have GWS, Sydney and Freo - hardly likely to break 38k-40k. We need to average 48,600 for our last 3 games to equal last year - possible with Essendon and Collingwood matches to come.
