Top 4 was gone the moment we lost to Port.

Our run home is as follows

Essendon H
Carlton A
St Kilda H
West Coast A
Collingwood H
Bulldogs A

The only game at this stage you could pencil for a definite win is St Kilda.

Essendon and Carlton we should win, but are potential danger games.

Collingwood and Bulldogs are 50/50.

West Coast away is a definite loss.

We'll most probably need to win 3 of those games to make the finals and most likely 5 games to have any hope of slipping into the top 4.

Dons, Blues and Saints are simply must win games. First two are danger games as you said.

Lock in an Eagles loss to follow this.

If we get cold Pies served to us, we can roll them. If they are hot Pies, they will beat us so hard, we will wish we were not playing finals.

Dogs away is winnable, but I just hope by then the Dogs are no longer a final 8 chance and their spirit is broken. Not a fan of playing at some crap hole in Ballarat, Victoria.

Apparently Sam Gray is wanted by Carlton as he's unsigned and their number 2 goal kicker.

Sam Gray! He kicks the odd occasional goal, he does make the most out of his limited ability but surely Carlton wouldn't pay much for him. They had Moore doing the same if not better a couple of years ago and he got traded for basically nothing and hasn't done much at all.

Apparently on Roo and Ditts they had rumours of a Port player that Carlton were interested in plus a Port coach

They were speculating Voss as the coach

Mars Stadium is recognised as having the best surface of any AFL ground in the state of Victoria. Only negative is if it's windy the home team definitely have the advantage of knowing it's quirks when kicking to the western end. [Unprotected by the Grandstands]

They have no small forward stocks at all at this point. I imagine it'll be like Matty Wright, someone you can plug in for a year or two while you develop someone from the draft. Jarrod Garlett, Jed Lamb and Jarrod Pickett all bombed out and Kym Lebois won't make it.

On the Port board they’re referring to him as a used car salesman and that he just manages expectations from week to week

That nails it for me. From the outside they’re clearly failing but on the inside he’s created enough doubt and there’s just enough success that their optimism bias kicks in and they think if they just wait a little longer things will come good

Rumors that Tredrea is scathing about him and has made that known to the board, and that if they don’t make the finals he’ll be gone
You just need to listen to Tredders on 5AA after a loss to know how he feels about him.

You're telling me Darcy Lang and Alex Fasolo are not the answer? And before that Rhys Palmer?

Surely someone should have told the list manager before they made those trades...

I've just noticed that Port's crowd has dropped again this year and with the games they have left it will most probably drop to around 35k by the end of the year.

That's a drop of around 9,000 per game since 2014 compared to us who have dropped around 3,000.

I'll give it until 2025 at the latest before their average crowds are back under 30k.

I suspect that it's just some wishful thinking from the Port supporters.

Last thing I heard about Tredders was that the higher ups at the club considered him to be far too critical of the club's path and was on the outer to some degree. If that's true then I suspect he would have little to no pull down at Alberton and absolutely zero influence when it comes to the board.

The football gods must be happy this year. Another player, Coniglio, has escaped what looked like a certain ACL. Great news.

I think the only parties that benefit from Cogs not doing his ACL is the Club that he is likely to be going to next year, GWS's Finals opponents and of course Cogs accountant.

Almost a certainty he has played his final game for GWS.

Fasolo replacement ;)

Many Carlton supporters were going on about how he was a great pick up in preseason.

Lincoln McCarthy on the other hand...

What's the respective drops in percentage terms?

They keep telling us they have the most loyal supporters though. You mean that I'd a sham like the rest of the creed? Better get Rooch on to it...

I see that a Suns player has been suspended for his hit on Knight, any chance the AFC can ask for this to be overturned. :$
haha..yeah use the old defence..
Tribunal to knight 'did you see who hit you?'
Knight to tribunal; ' no..I just fell over and knocked myself out'
Tribunal to knight 'really?'
Knight to tribunal ' I saw nothing...can Anthony Miles go now'

But what if Miles out makes GC a better side... ;)

NicNat out for an extended period with a foot injury.

Rowey was saying something like their corporate sponsorship is down and the corp seating area is fairly empty. They lost their biggest sponsor in the Labor Party last election. Starting to show.
