Geelong certainly don't look like a side that is two games clear on top. Think they may have peaked too early.

I got flamed on the main board for this: you'd think that the minor premiers would go on to become the major premiers a decent portion of the time (say half the time). Nope, only 6 of the last 20 minor premiers went on to win the flag. 'Peaking too early' is not a myth. We were victims in 2017 (among other reasons for our defeat).

I hope it doesn't. It's a massive distraction for them, which probably does more harm than good to their chances of making the finals. They don't gain any financial benefit going, and they certainly don't gain anything on-field. Why would we want this idiocy to end?
