As I said before... you're still in stage 3 of grief - bargaining. Eventually you'll work your way through to stage 5 - acceptance.

There is literally no evidence whatsoever that we would be any better than we are right now, if the season had been played under normal conditions. On the contrary, all evidence suggests that we'd be even worse, as our lack of fitness would be even more exposed.
Utter and complete nonsense!

Isnt he with Olympia Valance?..

whats he done?

All I’ll say is, if your model wife is nice enough to send you a racy video of themselves in the shower, DON’T forward it to your mates no matter how proud you are

Grimes and Vlastuin were CLEARED of staging at the Tribunal

What the actual fu**
So basically the last few weeks have made a mockery of Michael Christian. How can he possibly continue when every club will just appeal and have it overthrown?
Richmond will basically not be charged with a single offence for the rest of the year as Christian will know that no matter what happens, Richmond will appeal and be a good chance of getting off.
I'm pretty certain that if Dusty pulled a knife from his socks and stabbed someone at the opening bounce, Richmond would appeal any report and he would get off.

May as well not have a staging charge because no one will ever meet the criteria
Might as well start teaching our blokes how to take a dive. We want everyone to be a pest like McHenry - get in the opposition face, taunt them, pinch them, niggle them and as soon as they react, take a massive dive and flop around on the ground. Umpires will eventually react and award a free in front of goal.
The AFL are basically ensuring it becomes as important a skill as a contested mark.

Utter and complete nonsense!
Extremely well written, point by point rebuttal of my post. Congratulations...

I appreciate that your mind is not yet capable of making the cognitive step required to accept our current reality. Adelaide has spent 30 years either playing finals, or finishing in the mid-pack just below the top-8. We've never been in this situation before, and it's understandably hard for you to accept just how truly awful our current reality is.

We have all spent decades mocking and making fun of clubs like Fitzroy, Carlton & Melbourne, for being spectacularly incompetent, and regularly putting in 1-2 win seasons. It is understandably very difficult then to accept the fact (and it is a fact) that the 2020 Adelaide Crows are as bad as, or worse than, any individual season those clubs achieved. Some people move through the stages of grief faster or slower than others - and you're progressing at a slower level, having only reached stage 3 (bargaining) to date. Eventually you'll reach stage 5 (acceptance), it just takes time.

On an individual season vs individual season, Adelaide's 2020 is as bad as anything which has happened in the VFL/AFL in the last 60 years - and it really doesn't matter what metric you choose to measure our performances. There is not a single metric where we are not at historically dismal levels.

Not even going to bother reading your dribble mate. Come back at me when you're not trying to convince me you have a crystal ball that perfectly predicts what would happen after a never before seen set of global circumstances

Like I said.. you're still in denial, looking to cast blame elsewhere and attempting to bargain your way out of the true predicament. You'll get there in the end.

We're historically bad, as in the equal worst side in the last 60 years of VFL/AFL history - and every single metric shows this. We're not bad because of COVID, our shiteness just happens to coincide with COVID. If anything, the shortened quarters are making our performances less embarrassing than they would be if we were playing full games.

I’m living in a world called reality. You’re the guy who thinks you know with 100% certainty how 18 teams would have performed in completely unknown and unprecedented set of circumstances to the point you think that you can accurate rank said teams against all previous teams in history.

If you can’t see how ludicrous that is then I can’t help you man. You’re just living in a dreamworld!

That the entire league is subjected to.
That’s the point though, in these conditions the good get better and the bad get worse.

The teams with new coaches, new game plans, lots of kids are a mile behind the established teams on day 1.

Which is why comparing this year to others is completely and utterly superfluous. It’s like comparing Usain Bolts 100m time to that of a Under 12 3 legged race time.

I think the shortened quarters effect probably balances out. For every game where another team would have piled on extra misery with full length quarters, there'd be one where Adelaide would finish with 3/4 easy goals after the other side stopped.

That said, there would be several 100+ point defeats this year. Which would probably be harder to handwave away with "rebuilding" claims.

No... you're living in a world of "wishful thinking", not reality. The reality is that we're on par with the very worst teams of the last 60 years. This is reality.

How can anyone not see this?

Our form in the second half of last year and in the weeks leading up to the pandemic shows that our post-COVID form is simply continuing on from where we left off.

It's partly self-delusion, partly denial, partly grief.

The facts are that this started long before COVID. COVID hasn't helped, but it's certainly not the reason for our current state of affairs.

One thing is for sure if this was a normal season we’d no doubt to 0/22, our fitness would stand out even more with longer qtrs.
Yep... we struggle to play for 48 minutes (plus time on), and things already get ugly in minutes 49-64. Things would be even uglier if they had to be on the field for 80 minutes, which is 40% more than our players are currently capable of achieving. Thanks, Matt Hass!
