Motivated seller mate. And the car has "issues".

On the cheap or not at all. And trade week is getting long in the tooth..
Preuss isn’t on $600k a year.

Despite our cap space, it has an effect on supply and demand.

There’s a limited market for Stephenson because of his salary.

It reduces his trade value, not to mention his form this year and his off field issues.
If the new coach can get this kids head back in the game he could be an elite goal kicking wingman, in fact he has more potential than Hollands because he’s already proven himself at AFL level.

You’re happy to hand over pick 2 for Hollands who has a ? over his knee and potential to play in the guts at AFL level, so I’m just sayin I certainly won’t scream the sky is falling if we cough up a pick in the 20’s for a kid that’s already WON the RS at AFL level..

The Age reported on Tuesday night the Kangaroos were still “eyeing off” Melbourne’s first draft selection, which is Pick 26. Whether Melbourne is prepared to part with Pick 26 on top of one of Picks 31 or 33 remains to be seen.

The media are very slowly working out Brady is a touch tougher than Joyce was.

and the silence from the club is beautiful.

It's interesting to note that its basically certain all the leaks to media about our requests are coming from the clubs we're dealing with and not us

I think the only thing we've said publicly is that clubs have approached us about 2??

The bloke who played Tackleberry, David Graf, died of a heart attack just nine days short of his 51st birthday. Both his father & his grandfather died of heart attacks at 51 years of age.
Although Bubba Smith, who played Hightower, was a former NFL #1 draft pick, I’m pretty sure he died of a drug overdose about ten years ago.

We may need to explore another movie franchise?

Larvell Jones is still around? Maybe he can imitate the siren as a tactic?

I get the salary dump etc, but a 21 year old former number 5 pick who won the Rising Star award only a couple of years ago.. If Pruess is worth 33 then I wouldn’t be upset if we paid 20 for him.

-his contract
-their cap situation
-off field issues
-horribly out of form
-GWS were desperate for a ruckman
-we arent desperate for him

Did i miss anything?

Right so I've been thinking about these trades and for mine it's all about the points. I want a combined 1800 points for Brown and Higgins.

Not really fussed how that works out. A quick calculation and I'm thinking 15x fourth round draft picks will put us well on the way to nabbing the equivalent of a pick #5.

And there's been some great players taken at pick #5 over the journey! Exciting times I tell ya's, exciting times.

King Corey I know you'll agree with this blitzkrieg approach to owning the comp?

You just stick to the "white pointers" Old Boy.

Sorry that's plain incorrect.

Whilst Stephenson has won the RS, I think most can see he probably doesn't project as a potential quality AFL midfielder like he did in the u/18's.

He might still develop into a decent wingman, but he was taken at #5 because of his work on the wing, high disposal numbers, kicking goals from midfield. Not as a permanent forward prospect.

Hollands has a far higher ceiling than Stephenson, even as a forward. Physically he's just in a completely different category. He's a 6"3 powerhouse that could potentially play FF like Dangerfield, Martin, Rayner and De Goey do at times. The only bloke with anything close to the same natural skill level in that group is Dustin Martin. I hope that puts it into perspective.

He's taller and heavier than Jack Ziebell is atm and he's only 18.

Nick Larkey doesn't have more potential than JUH just because he's played AFL football.

Cmon Sherm, make these campaigners bleed a little....

Lewis Taylor won a RS as well.

Look at him now..... shittruck!

Jesus Christ this is going to be beautiful.

If Stephenson didn't have that heart issue pop up late AND if LDU didn't slip to us I think we would have gone for Stephenson that year.

If we manage to get him on the cheap it will be a fantastic bit of business. If I was a pies supporter I would be absolutely filthy

Happy to Blitzkrieg anything.

That sounded less dirty in my head.

I'm down with this.

Let's be the England at Eurovision of the comp. 35+ years of "nil pois" will eventually be equivalent to a 3rd placing.

Congratulations England! You finally cracked a podium finish!

The shift is almost the polar opposite to what we'd grown accustomed to.

We control the story, we control our information and we protect it.

I very much doubt we'll see player managers using us for negotiation by media now.

I get the distinct feeling you put Brady in the Martin/Kelly/Gaff discussions and as soon as the managers ran to the media we'd pull the deal immediately.

Still keen on Hollands, even if we get Stephenson, as Phillyroo and the draft reports have convinced me he’s a gun and that McDonald maybe picked up by the crows. Then pick up DBG with our our other early pick for some height.
