yeah the only reason but i still find it strange. Unlike Higgins who wants to play in finals and try win a premiership plus an extended contract makes sense.

Extra year makes a lot of sense.... short time in footy if he gets another 400k or so in 2022 then has to do it

I reckon Carlton is making a terrible mistake throwing that sort of money around given there's no guarantee it is going to compete for a premiership in the near future. William's is putting a lot of pressure on himself and the club.

Cunnington always had impeccable ball skills, strength in the contest and vision to offset his pace.

Constable doesn't have enough promise in those categories to do the same imo.

If we get him, I hope like heck I'm wrong.

He'll get them into the finals next year if fit. Good thing about the trade vs North is that cripps and others will share the load and williams isnt all the talent in the team. Should be ok

This thread/s moves too fast for me, so just summarising what has happened since the end of the season or likely to happen. I want to be clear on where we are at.

11 players delisted on or about mad Monday.
EVW unlikely to get a contract.
BennyB to the godee for a 4th round pick. May need more going their way.
Higgo to the Geelong Aged Care facility
Polec off and maybe the steak knives we send to achieve Benny's trade for a 4th round pick.
Jed off to Carlton
Taz off who knows where, but maybe even the Geelong Aged Care facility, as they must have a very fluid salary cap.

So that's 17 gone. Have I missed anyone? Will we actually field a side next year?

Oh and Cunners is going to baulk at the workload, retire and go fishing and farming.

Aint this just a magnificent time of the year?

I forgot to add that our Pick 2 will actually be Pick 13, because nearly every other club will mount a case to get compensated with a pick ahead of us.
