If not the Bulldog's first pick, the other first round pick we could target is Collingwood's, which is just two picks later. At pick 16 and pushing back further after bids, that pick will most likely be burnt on a McInnes bid. So if the Pies can't trade up or trade it for a 2021 1st, they would probably entertain trading it back for more points.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to know the real salary cap situation at Pies. I suspect there are plenty of deals going under the counter. Just waiting for De Goey to pop up on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and win the lot.

Cox is fringe at best. Fringe players cant be on 500k its madness

Whats more they could have avoided it and kept him below the games trigger in his contract.

but they didn't and went on to play meaningless finals.

now they have this Texan weight around their neck who checks in for a decent 1 game out of ever 20.

I hope their list pinata explodes.

The wait isn’t very long
I used to call weekly to hammer him over his obsession with Polecs contract
5-10 minutes max

I have to be motivated beyond the generic crap mate.

I was very active at the time of the roosistence, and I do remember backing Wilson up hard in to a corner. I just know that if given 10 minutes without a mute button, I could obliterate most of these people with pure logic.

Yet they are still wanting a first for stepho? They should be aiming for someone to take his whole salary first then only if they have to subsidise should they worry about picks coming back....

Let me get this right. Tom Phillips and Jayden Stephenson are contracted for a combined 1.18 million in season 2021. I hope everyone backs off and let’s them stay at the pies. They are in a huge mess

Yep, f*** the Pies! [emoji106]

Hardly a surprise Coll in their current situation! Stephenson on nearly 600k, Phillips too, even Cox on 550k that's before you start talking about the cream

you would have to be a little bit to concerned to consider a backended deal from collingwood gong forward?

Sad at the reports Treloar now want's out at Collingwood. From the outside it genuinely looks like they have assassinated his character in public and done the utmost to make him feel as uncomfortable there as possible. The bloke did them the favour of taking much less money upfront when they extended his contract, and just a short while later they're now shivving him because they don't want to pay what they agreed to.

Yeah then again, 5 years at 900k, if he really wanted to stay, could have had a conversation about renegotiating the contract etc. Wellsy I believe volunteered a paycut. Other players have done it in the past for whats best for the club etc. Not saying its all one way, but a conversation could have at least been had, if the club no longer thinks he's delivering enough value to drive success.

The fact is that he essentially did renegotiate the contract already, by agreeing to take less than the agreed contract value in the first few years to be offset in the years that are left. The Collingwood scum are now basically trying to get a way with paying him less than agreed by cutting him off now before it evens up.

The conversation you are suggesting has already been had, and in good faith Treloar did the right thing by the club. And now they're trying to escape their side of the bargain. Scum.

Wellsy played 10 games in 2017, 4 games in 2018 and 1 in 2019, it was one the greatest heists of all time. He shouldn't have re-negotiated, they chased him, they pay the price.

Treloar should stay at Collingwood and should take the $900k every year. He has a contract, he doesn't have to do shit.

Clubs need to stop offering ridiculous contracts if they don't want to or can't honour them in the future.

Shamed into it more likely.

I cannot help wonder if this has dictated why we haven't re-signed brown or Anderson
