I hope we stand firm and not be push overs in this trading period.
Melbourne got pick 31 for Preuss. They'll probably offer that for Brown.
If I recall properly, Preuss was under contract, and we sent him to Melbourne for Dom TysonAND we still had to give them a sweetener of pick 62. It seemed a bad deal at the time, and it still is.PLAYERCARDSTART21Dom Tyson

Melbourne have picks 26, 31, 33, 43, 50.
If we don't get at least picks 26 and 31 for Brown, it's another bad trade by us.
Also reported we rejected Geelong's pick 38 for Higgins.
I'd rather keep him than have that pick.
Geelong have picks 13, 15, 20, 38, 96.
They are going to have to send 15 and 20 to GWS for Cameron, and probably want to keep pick 13. GWS have 10, 44, 52... they might send 44 back?
So the best Geelong can offer is will be 38, 44, 96. Even a combination of those is bad.
The only way I can see us "winning" is we can somehow get pick 14 from the Bulldogs, as they will have to use it anyway on their academy player. That's 1161 points. If we can end up with:
2, 11, 26 (Melb), 28, 31 (Melb), 38 (Geel), 70, 71
26 - 729 points, 28 - 677 points and give them to the Bulldogs for #14, then we could end up with 2, 11, 14, 31, 38.
We need to try to get as many picks as we can in the top 20, and hope we can get 2 or 3 200 game players.
What if we get pick 31 from the GoDees as part of the Brown trade then send 31 plus Higgins to the Cats for pick 20?
That would give us 2, 11, 20, 26, 28, 70, and 71.
As you have suggested 26 & 28 get offered to the Dogs for 14. That would leave us with 2, 11, 14, 20, 70 & 71.
