What a difference 24 hours makes. After the BBB trade yesterday, a fair portion of this board thought the world was about to come to an end. I suppose it's a conditioned response, based on years of underwhelming results in relation to player trading and list management in general.
24 hours? Felt like a tight 2 hour turnaround, almost got whiplash.

I'll be pretty sad if Will Walker gets delisted after this is all said and done because he's clearly not had enough opportunity but then how many times have we seen this happen? If we could re-sign him and then rookie EVW (whom I believe has less opportunity) it would be the best result IMO but I'm also mindful that this draft is unprecedented in that academy/FS picks and the new squad sizes/rule that clubs only have to take one player will combine to see late picks come rocketing in. We could be drafting solely in the top 50 and if we rate say 30 players we may get a chance to take one of them with all of our picks.
Looks like primary list will be 38 so some will need to be rookies. WW & EVW obvious candidates due to injury history. Both more than capable.

I heard Treloar’s interview on SEN this afternoon and just shook my head at how ****ing dumb Collingwood are for being in a position that they had to let him go for bugger all. Spoke with passion, honesty and honour. Wasn’t the usual cliched, bullshit you hear from players.

I just have a feeling that the AFL must have gotten wind of Collingwoods salary cap ‘issues’ and were ‘warned’ to sort the mess out.....

It’s clear Collingwood loaded up the talent on the playing list and back-ended a few contracts to keep the playing group together.

As soon as it came time to pay they’ve cut their losses and had a fire sale. It was basically an all on assault on a flag and they failed.

My question is how is that allowed? It just seems you can have an x amount of players on big coin and go hard for a flag or two and then trade them off once it comes time to pay up?!

Did Heath Freudian slip in the members QnA when he said on the trade deadline day we secured four players . Considering we landed three makes me wonder if there's someone we are picking up in PSD that got completed yesterday.

He was including Corr in that I think, as in we picked up four players by the deadline.

It's allowed as long as how they're doing it is within the rules.

The other approach is how triple premiership teams in Geelong, Hawthorn and Richmond did it, which was all players taking unders in their quest to win flags.

I wonder if Geelong is going to have to delist Narkle. He still hasn't received a contract. I reckon he'd be pretty peeved with the players they've brought in and they probably can't offer a decent deal. I hope Brady and co. are all over him. Exactly what we need.

Am I the only one who doesn’t want a bar of de Goey?
Based upon the rumours circulating he’ll be lucky to not end up behind bars in the near future.

Avoid at all costs.

The ideal situation would be for JDG to go to the PSD and Adelaide picks him up leaving Hately there for us.

Reckon Youngs recruitment might place further pressure on EVW moving forward.

For the list gurus, how many do we have now currently and how many new players with dfa and ND can we still add? And what's a realistic trade for our 2nd rounders if we wanted to trade up?

The Q & A was a good listen. From what they said, we are organised , planned and have a direction. The workplace is happy and supportive.
Either we are on the right path or this bunch could sell ice cubes to the Eskimo’s.
I’m a believer

I thought it was a fantastic listen, Clayton and Luff came across as supper passionate and very level headed confident guys..

it was very optimistic, determined snd planned with a no looking backwards type feel.

excellent insight into the club snd some of our key staff which was compelling.
The Arden precinct project sounds great snd they seemed almost certain that North had a big part to play which was great news.

they confirmed Xerri was going to be groomed to take over from Goldie which J wasn’t certain of.

I recommend everyone to have a listen

Not a mention of us negatively since the Collingwood fiasco has the clickbait journo’s in a typing frenzy..

Nekminit MMM reporting “Breaking news coming out of Brisbane, Chris Fagan and half the Lions playing group have been caught up in a sex tape scandal involving Kim Kardashian, three Alpacas and a box of fresh Zucchini’s”..

**Eddie McChins seen leaving out MMM’s back door**
