The mate did have some comments re Brandon, which sounded like if I remember correctly sounded like “ghost who walks” faster than a normal person, seems to have more time.

Just runs off and away from opposition. In purple he will be unstoppable.

I could be wrong but he sounds like the Phantom.. if your old enough you will know what I mean, if not it’s a wot is he talking about!
It's Unaustralian to not know who the Phantom is!

I’m a big fan of Liam McMahon from that list, he’s fast for a tall forward and has a straight kick for goal

I’d take him 3rd round onwards personally

It’s Fremantle we will select someone called Humphrey Elbert who’s a 181cm 72kg winger and then complain we have no tall forwards

I can't see a realistic trade that gets McDonald. If there is a trade that gets us a realistic shot at Thilthorpe I think we should consider it. I think he can contribute early, has good skills and mobility. Most likely we don't have a trade that achieves that, and I hope we get a second pick before NGA bids and grab a tall forward (or forward/ruck) option.

Ya I agree McDonald seems likely to be taken at pick 1 at this point. We aren’t trading for pick 1. If there was some early indication from recruiters during trade week that Thilthorpe was going to slide to pick 5, we could start talking to GC or even Essendon at pick 6.
If we could somehow package up Hogan and pick 10 to move up to pick 5 or 6, and got a look at drafting Thilthorpe, it may salvage something from what looks like a pretty messy situation right now. It’s likely we’d have to cough up pick 28 along with Hogan to move up, with maybe a third rounder or 4th rounder coming back our way to help match bids for walker and western.
Some of the trade scenarios suggested here are totally unrealistic. If someone gave us a future first for Hogan, id also Take it amd run (unlikely though). Someone here explained one day that future picks are worth a round less than current picks in value. I.e. a future first is the same value as a Current second, and a future second is like a current third etc. think it may have been Snuffaluphagus ?

That’s how it’s generally seen yeah, honestly though, this year it will probably be pretty even. Teams don’t rate this draft at all and from my understanding, they are frothing on next years.

Getting McDonald would probably cost us Hogan, next years first and this years first I would think

Would Adelaide necessarily use pick 1 on McDonald, especially if they are wanting Lukosius end of 22, or prefer a quality on baller with their first -Holland ? Will they try to trade 1 with WB and gain two early picks (one a 1st round 2022 pick) to go with their pick 8 and get the likes of 2 of Jones, Poulter, Tilthorpe and Edwards (fs)?

Thank you chris.... even with 2 ACL ,Callow is later than baldwin?

On SM-A205YN using BigFooty.com mobile app
Callow is already a solid unit, the skinny talls have supposedly a higher ceiling, and he is not over 195cm.
Plays Forward and down back, which is why many think he will be a defender.
Pavlich won his first AA as a defender, before playing forward.
He wouldn't go top ten now, recruiters are obsessed with potential, athletic results.
Jack Darling types are not fashionable, but are an important part of a functioning forward line.

Unless there’s a big “dropper” it’s looking like Perkins, Chapman or Reid would be who we’re choosing from with our first pick yeah?

One of them plus Walker and Western would be a good draft.

Reid isn’t even top 30 in many drafts? Nicholas Cox should be there around our first. Tanner Bruhn could be another option.
given speculation around Hogan, wouldn’t be surprised to See our first pick moving around a bit..
