Made this point before but we copped a fair bit of s**t for trading a future first + a second rounder for a small forward in Kozzie Pickett in the same draft. Brilliant draft for us with nabbing Rivers as well.

It was great to see him celebrate the Flag with his Parents at the game who were draped in Dees gear.

Wouldn't worry too much about him going back home to WA Melbourne fans, he clearly loves the footy club and would be crazy to leave when they have a massive flag window ahead of them for at least the next 7-8 years.

But boy will he get a big pay rise (and deservedly so)

On the Gus and Gawny podcast they've been having other players and guests on the past two years. Had Dogga on maybe 6 weeks ago and they asked him how W.A. is and whether he's feeling like he's missing aspects of it. Said he's got zero plans to shift and actually wouldn't even be looking to move back post footy. Obviously everything can change over 1, 2, 3 years etc. but good signs that we'll be able to retain him for another 5 years at least.
