If the are outstanding for sure but if we have the option of one of the classy high production mids instead who is around his level you get that every time. There are about 25 really good prospects and only a few are tall.

Wonder who’s ears we’re in. Pretty sure they had Hilly and Crouch on board fairly early in the seasons they were taken.

With regards the draft, apart from the obvious top few I think the mid season draft is huge if it gives us a better look at players that have been dormant due to COVID. We seem to be nailing mid season.

Right now I think he’s playing with windhager, Owens and Heath is their ruck. Imagine the connection drafting 3 players who already play together and know our ruck

It’s a tough choice for bing but that’s life both clubs assuming it’s down to two will make great offers he’ll choose one and both clubs will move on.

What he decides to do will have a major impact on planning moving forward so I have no idea why GC would want to drag it out. They would appear to have a stronger hand this year if he’s leaving, if he’s not then sign on and do yourself and both clubs a favour.

Obviously I’d really like to get him to the saints but if it’s not happening we need to move on and build a side that will be top 4, can’t be missing opportunities waiting for something that’s not happening.

For the life of me I cannot see why any player would choose to play for Gold Coast. It makes absolutely no sense at all.
