Unfortunately, not yetAFL has confirmed compo. Jones will be categorised as an UFA. I reckon pick 47

Blues set for draft compo as Jones eyes AFL return
Liam Jones is set to return to the AFL in 2023 with the Western Bulldogs the favourite to sign the 31-year-oldwww.afl.com.au
CARLTON is likely to receive draft compensation for Liam Jones
The AFL's confirmation makes it straightforward for the Dogs to list Jones as an unrestricted free agent which, depending on the level of contract, would in turn allow the Blues to gain draft compensation for him.
I’m not smaaaaaaart enough, but could someone sticky a poll to the start of this thread and add players names along the way that will go Top 15-20 that we can mull over and discuss/compare research ourselves or with the help of those like Arrow (I appreciate you mate)
Start with Brayben George and Bailey Humphrey. Both touted to have DeGoey/Greene attributes.
Sorry - PLEASE - I always forget to say please. Thanks.

Might be a chance to get #37. It's a made up system with a fair bit of leeway but hoping that they take into account our loss for this year along with the contract that he gets from the Bulldogs. If we get compo (and we should), yeah, it would be #47, or if we get really luck #37 (Band 4).
Heard from an AFL outsider back when Jones made noise about coming back that we are obviously in a unique situation because COVID and the AFL forced our hand, that we will be looked on favourably when compensation is awarded.Might be a chance to get #37. How do you figure pick 55?Realistically wouldn't be holding my breath for a pick 37, pick 55 more likely...
3 years on minimum/average $$$ for a 31 year old, that's been out of the game for 12 months...
Would be interested in keen watchers thoughts on Olli Hotton. I've watched a couple of his games online and liked what I've seen. Is he a chance around our first pick?
Classy half forward with a turn of pace who can hit the scoreboard would be the main priority.
Would love the club to bring in a player who can have a really good first year and add that valuable link player to compliment our midfield. Think Stephenson in 2018, Butters in 2019.
Band 5 is the lowest band of compensation. It comes immediately after your Round 3 pick.Taking out the player he was for us...
Will be 31 years old, on minimum dollars, with a 3 year deal (I'd say this is the part that activated compensation)
Based on age and money, think he's will be only worth a pick in the 45-55 range. Not sure if you can get a mid 3rd rounder so went with 4th rounder...
What makes you think he is worth pick 37? Which would be a steal for us, still a decent pick...

I’m hoping it’s a late band 3 selection, could help us a lot.Jones had multiple suitors, reckon he would be on decent coin and we know he’s getting 3 years

Band 4 is end of 2nd Round (ie approx #37).
Given the circumstances of what happened with Jones a year ago, the AFL may help us out.
Harry Sheezel, Mattaes Phillipou and Brayden George are the 3 i like for our needs
forward/mids
We could possibly trade up gold coast will end up with Adelaide's pick 5 so they will have 5 and 7First 2 will/should be gone

If a players there we really want then obviously our first and a future firstWhat do you think we could offer to get pick 5 or 7

It really depends on how much you might want a particular playerI wouldn't do that deal, nor do I believe the club will, and in this draft, the difference from pick 5 to 10 is marginal
