Second or third rounder, I would think. Question is, assuming we get Acres, would we want another winger with the possibility of the Camporeale boys the following year. I really like Edmends, but it may not be prudent to overload and unbalance the list further.

Acres essentially replaces Newnes, LOB, Cotts, a developing Edmends.

Campo boys are 2 years away, without knowing if they will nominate

Also, no guarantee they'll end up as wingmen. I think one plays wing, the other half-back at the moment, but that might change in the next couple of years, or at AFL level.

Have people seen this Anthony Munkara (thanks Arrow). We gotta consider getting him with a pick inside 40.

  • excitement machine in the forward half
  • lightning quick and solid kick
  • could play the old Yarran role
  • most importantly though, he’s a * NGA prospect.

Looks a real prospect. I'd love for us to draft a player with that point of difference/X factor.

And what makes it even better is that there's four fifths of **** all chance that the dopers will get access to him. They'll likely take Sheezel with their first pick, and then Dodoro will be up to his wazoo working out how to get the Davey twins on board.

Could we even begin to imagine the melts from * supporters if we picked him up with our 2nd round pick :)

I'm all in favour of drafting the two indigenous boys Keeler and Munkura with our first two picks.
Munkara is a myth. Check the quality of the opposition in the highlight reels. Only outing at quality level wasunsighted. Beware.

Don't be surprised if Munkara goes undrafted completely.. Talent has him firmly in the top end of discussion but the application from what I understand just isn't quite there. Could end up the way of Waylon Manson, a BigFooty favourite of yesteryear.

Ahhh Yaz, what I would do to get a clone of Yaz (minus the issues) into our side today. Makes me wanna go watch his highlights.

Gotta be honest - that footage didn't do much for me.

Didn't look overly quick.

Clean hands....on the third or fourth attempt.

Rookie pick maybe, but wouldn't wanna see us take him in the ND.

Ya agree in general , however seems to posses good space awareness and has some ability, I’d take him in the ND as 4th rounder as low risk investment.
Apart from a durable AFL ready Ruckman , we‘re lacking an exhilarating sparkle, in the Forward line, can’t expect Charlie & Harry to do it all.
We need, speed ,skill, fitness and high IQ all into one player a fwd-mid type.

I had referred to our compo pick or p 62/64I think we could definitely take a risk on Munkara, if he were still around, we’re far too conservative at times, although after some of the boo boos before Austin’s tenure one understands.

Tom Phillips was awesome in 2018.

Pretty much the perfect wing. Huge fitness base, neat skills, hit the scoreboard.

No idea what’s gone on the past couple of years? Ran into him at a nightclub in the Gold Coast in the middle of the year and he was flying.

Very general rule, but I think you get the best value opportunities targeting:

Young players at ladder leaders (not getting a game)

Older players at bottom teams (that go full rebuild and push out vets).

Not saying we recruit him just on that, but sometimes players don't get games or are delisted based on list management approach over talent.
Turfed out of two clubs in 24 months does not exactly scream pick me. I’d rather go Scholl if we miss Acres.
