I want us to recruit Jefferson so I can sing We built this city on rock and roll every time he touches the ball.

"Do you like Starship?

Their early work as Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship a little too new wave for my taste. But when Knee Deep in the Hoopla was released in 1985, I thought they really came into their own. Commercially and artistically.

The whole album has a crisp, clean sound and a whole sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.

I think their undisputed masterpiece is "We Built This City", a song so catchy that most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not about a city literally being built by rock and roll, but about the United States being founded on the spirit of rebellion that rock and roll exemplifies and the generations that benefited from that rebellious attitude trying to halt that same progression through corporatism!"

Great movie. The novel was on another level though.

Good crop of talls, some of them SA boys. Port potentially with two first round picks and in a position to nab some. And somehow we don’t need them 🤦🏻‍♂️
Not really worried about the SA talls. They've been hot and cold and the rankings currently are largely based on upside.

From doing my research and watching games where I can, my preference would be this:

1st pick (Around pick 7) - Phillipou: Has huge potential and is a tall midfielder at 192cm. Always creates something when he has the ball and goes forward to notch a goal too. A SA kid too which is a bonus.

2nd pick (Amon's compo which I expect to be end of first round) - Munkara: With Fantasia being injured, I think we need a potent goal scoring small forward and this kid's got plenty of x-factor. Tied to Essendon NGA but that won't matter and he's already in SA playing for West Adelaide

Hoping we can trade out our future 2nd and trade back into this year's 2nd round. And with that 3rd pick I'd be taking Lewis Hayes as bit of a project Key Defender to develop. He's aerial traits and intercept marking is one of the best in this draft and with a frame, he can start to impact one on one at AFL level. Will probs help keep his brother on the list too 😉

If we don't trade in for a 3rd pick, I'm probably more inclined to pass on Munkara and take Henry Hustwaite to solidify our Tall Defender stocks.

Yeah the more you see of Busslinger the harder he looks to go past. Watching him on the weekend gee he looks the part in defence.
He could go before our pick but if he’s available and we haven’t sold our pick to North would love him here.

The top rated tall defender Jed Busslinger is going for shoulder surgery. I don't know if that will impact where he goes in the draft or have long term impact?

WEST Australian draft prospect Jedd Busslinger, considered one of the leading tall talents in this year's pool, will miss the rest of the season after deciding to undergo shoulder surgery.

Busslinger, who shapes as a potential top-10 selection as a key defender, has been playing through a shoulder problem this season but has decided to stop his campaign and go under the knife.

Prudent management. He's made his case now get ready for a afl preseason.

196cm. Sign me up. I'm so tired of our defense relying on getting numbers back because we're undersized versus 195cm+ KPF's (unless we want to use Aliir and completely waste his strengths). Time to start planning for our future defense being smarter, rather than work harderery (and sacrifice other areas of the ground because everyone needs to drop back).
