Peel Thunder and South Fremantle advanced in week one of the WAFL Colts finals series. We noted some of the top performers from either win.

Jacob Ryan would be good. Luke Teal would be good, but we have those types.

I still like Scully. Hes one dimensional but so are a few successful AFL forwards. Issue is weve got a lot of tall forwards now. Not against getting another but its not a priority

Just keep taking the big blokes.

We can mix and match them forward and back at the Maggies til we find a mix that works.

And if all else fails we can probably trade them for a similar pick later

Have you seen konstanty play? Literally built for the modern game. Averaged 6 tackles a game in the nab league as a small forward. His first few steps when collecting the ball are also arguably as good as any in the draft. Hence why most people have him above Clarke.

Yes.

I see him as a lower ceiling pressure type. Not a natural scorer like Clarke, not quite an onballer. McHenry vibes.

Maybe I’m wrong. He’s not a bad prospect, but I would rather go the natural scorer when picking a forward.

Clarke is a way better fit for port who has players who can fill a role there but doesn’t have many natural scorers.

One thing for sure, no doubts in Phillipou's mind that he'll make it.
It's written in the tickets he has on himself.
Confidence is essential.

I like Konstanty over Clarke! Konstanty looks like he has more upside and more tricks. Clarke looks like a pretty low risk low ceiling player. I suppose Clarke looks more natural as a goal scorer.

yeh he's terrible, 3rd rounder at least, say around 33.

Phillipou’s ball handling is so clean. I would be surprised if he didn’t make a solid AFL player at a minimum.

Even if he doesn’t develop as a fulll time mid I see a Matthew Broadbent type career as a fairly safe bet.

I think Phillipou is a gun. He just does things with poise and class. There just looks like so much upside. I dont understand why he isnt rated right at the poibty end of the draft.

Unless the players available are AFL quality, there is no reason to recruit players just because they are 196cm +. Our needs in KPD are obvious looking at our age profile for that area but I'd still take the next Kossi Pickett if he was there or the next Serong ahead of a KPD of inferior ability.

Agree , at 33 just take best available talent, no point picking up a spud just because they are a kpd. We can take a punt with our later picks, but there's going to be some value still left at 33.

Short can be an advantage especially at Port.
I’ve seen Jones play imo he will make it at AFL

I have zero interest in cutting any teams lunch.

What i do care about is what’s best for port, and picking the best talent.

On talent keeler is well worth considering at pick 33 imo.

He’s a great athlete with genuine football skills.
