Dow is doing what is asked of him and he loves the club. He wants to get better and really earn his position in the firsts.

Coach and player are on the same page and he isn't disgruntled and knows he has weaknesses and is working on them.

Great game again tonight Paddy.

The club won't be getting a monster offer. He will be pursued by clubs but he is very passionate about doing what our coaches are having him work on. The kid wants to get better and knows his time will come. He's taking it all in his stride and good on him.
I understand you're confident in your source, but that's exactly what a player in his position would be saying while his manager is shopping him around for contract offers.

If you get 22 touches and 2 goals and your opponent who follows you to the bathroom gets 10 including scrubbing balls off the deck then you gave him a pasting.

Will get cosches votes again Dow. Having a great year.

Haven’t watched Dow in the VFL once this year. I can see he has upped his possession count from reviews and hopefully his tackle count. My knock on him previously at AFL level was that he had such a huge turning circle so couldn’t turn in time to apply any implied or real pressure once the ball turned over. He was always left floundering and out of the reverse transition play.

I actually thought that he had been carrying an injury due to his turning circle. Terrible agility.

Is the VFL 2022 version of Dow nimble and agile so he can offer defensive pressure at the source. If not, then he is stuck going very fast one way.

Is this an informed comment or an opinion?

The reason I ask is because I can't think of another player I've wanted to make it playing in 2's as much as Dow.

Of course things can change in the landscape of afl. But I've been told he is very invested in our club and is wanting to get the best out of himself

Is he actually getting fitter or are my eyes deceiving me?

And

Is there a good reason why he doesn’t put the hammer down and mow some blokes down? McGovern style?
Id say you're very right re getting fitter. And I'd love it if he cleaned people up more also and hope he brings that into his game.

thought Cincotta was our best tonight, very impressed with him all season
Handley & Trudgeon not bad either. All very consistent and good players at this level. Developing well. Of the senior players, thought Stocker & Kemp were a bit down on their best. Dow played well despite a hard tag. Marchy serviceable game. Not that many touches, but when he did disposed of it well. Pitto dominated the hitouts. Will be back next week I would think.

Watch his highlights & it will answer the question

thanks for the feedback.

im just wondering if he improved enough to satisfy the coaches expectations who does he replace in the seniors current midfield group (Cripps, walsh, cerra, hewett or kennedy)?

Or would they shift some players around to fit him in...eg walsh or cerra to wing or something like that?

Cincotta has been a bankable strength all year. We are oversubscribed for small/medium defenders, but if we were to somehow lose one, he would be a great addition to the senior list. Looked like he played higher up the ground at times last night, wing trial maybe? We have spent the season shuffling our wing options and developing players at both levels during the season. Solutions may be under our nose.

Edit: Cincotta has been obsessed with making it to the AFL, hope he gets there.
