I would agree with that, but I also would have thought it's the most coachable thing. Right now, he's taking short options galore. It's either HB or wing. As a backman he is tough, can control his opponent, but struggles to read the play unfolding, hence never has many intercepts
As a wingmsn he over commits, and generally only looks for longer targets, ignoring better options
Willo is at the crossroads as a player

Covid may have something to do with it. Not many players have come back after that week off and set the world on fire.Motlop is having a day to forget
He's playing as an undersized KPF with minimal work on it in the pre-season, on an opponent that is physically bigger than him and has some of his athletic qualities and is more experienced.
They're leaving him on the difficult matchup, but I'm not sure he's learning much that he doesn't already know. It's miles in the legs he could be getting learning and aiding stoppage play, even if it's only in bursts.
Fair call although stunning indictment on list management that not only do we not have enough key position players on the senior list but also with the reserves/top up players. He's playing as an undersized KPF with minimal work on it in the pre-season, on an opponent that is physically bigger than him and has some of his athletic qualities and is more experienced.

Like the look of Philp and Carroll so far, they may be next in line...
Our ruck situation is dire, If Pittonet gets injure we're f’ed...
TDK (struggling), Mirkov (Not even VFL quality, can't even jump off the ground)...
McDonald or Young are our best next option...

JGM is suspended, and the rucks should be - but are not - rotating in the other key tall role.Doesn't seem the coaches really see him in our onball brigade plans so are trying to develop him elsewhere.
We have our starting 5, with Dow & Carroll next in line...where does Kemp fit?
We have a need for more forward targets...we basically have no cover for McKay and Curnow. Looks like Kemp has been nominated as that guy...for the teams needs and it's actually his best chance of playing seniors. Shame it sounds like he's all at sea in the role though.
It's a tactical error today, one of many.Fair call although stunning indictment on list management that not only do we not have enough key position players on the senior list but also with the reserves/top up players.
You're making far too many excuses for someone that is lacking in workrate and attack on the ball. Needs to improve both, and be cleaner with his hands, before being thrown on the ball.JGM is suspended, and the rucks should be - but are not - rotating in the other key tall role.
Carroll is only good for about 2-3 quarters in the VFL, let alone the AFL. Today was the day to do something different, and even the club admit Kemp's ultimate position is contested mid resting forward as third tall.
Perhaps they're trying to speed up the forward minutes accumulated in the VFL, but this is a silly way to go about it.

Are you talking about Carroll or Kemp right now? You're making far too many excuses for someone that is lacking in workrate and attack on the ball. Needs to improve both, and be cleaner with his hands, before being thrown on the ball.
Boyd is the only possibility to me.I doubt anyone gets considered for senior selection, too many players just down and to be honest look disinterested.

Cotters hasn’t been bad thoughI’d be bringing Willo into the team asap to take a wing spot off Newnes or Cottrell or both lol …

Reckon we already have two great wingers just need some youngsters to step up into midfield roles going forward to allow this to happenCotters hasn’t been bad though![]()

Yes if there’s one thing football commentators are known for, it’s their elocution…That throw, thrill, threat, throttle and thrash aren't pronounced 'frow, fhwill, fwreat, fwrottle and fwrash'.
I don't think he has a speech impediment, seems more like a learned behaviour. But when you're paid to announce, you've got to nail elocution so you're accessible to a wide audience.
