I've always wanted Salem on a wing but my guess is he's spent the majority of his career as a bang average half bank flanker because he doesn't work hard enough.

At any other club he'd have moved into the midfield or have the ambition too by now but he seems very content with being a low risk low accountability hbf

You could definitely make a case for Salem not reaching his potential, but 'bang average' is a bit silly. Pretty sure Salem's had ongoing groin issues for a while now that he's had to manage.

As someone with current groin issues it's crazy how quickly the power goes out of your legs. Absolute killer of an injury.

Crips plays in midfield and Vlastuin also can play on midsized players and out mark them Vlastuin is a gun Salem doesn't deserve to be mentioned with him.
He's definitely bang average. He sits with the average level HBF in the comp for most of his career outside of 10 games last year. Never been close to AA level except last year and he's 26. Doesn't even sit at the level of a Saad or Laird back in the day.

We should trade him to North for a future 4th. I’m not being facetious; North take our spuds, ha ha. They don’t have enough Kpp’s for their seniors - let alone their VFL squad. They have f all picks this year but a future high 4th might come in handy for points if Kynan Brown turns out alright.

One of the worst trade suggestion i've ever seen, Salem is contracted to the end of 2026, he's not going anywhere

Trading Salem would depend on what he's prepared to stay for, salary wise.
My preference would be to keep him and train him up as the starting winger next year. But I couldn't signing him to a new contract on what would be decent coin until he shows he can dominate that role.

With Bowey and Riv across half back we need the third small defender to be a lockdown type, Hibberd protege more than we need Salem.

He signed a 5 year extension last year
