Frees up coin to go after a bigger need. Easily replaceable. It makes too much sense.

Everyone is coming around now after we were shouted down a couple of months ago.

So it's only about with the ball and he just isn't a gun rebounding defender. Doesn't have the leg speed to link up down field so it's just his kicking now that seperates him and it's not enough for me.

Bowey does the same thing.

I would want Rivers locked into a long-term deal before this happens, if I am honest. Even then, I'm unsure.

• Hunt: Isn't at the same level
• Riv: Flight risk? (Even if I think Jacko ain't leaving ha!)

Luke Dunstan still filthy with Goody coz he's not get a game too I assume.

Meanwhile Goody is filthy at Dunstan for being such a terrible player.

I would only do it if we got a player to fill a need in the squad, not a pick - even something 15-20 range doesn't interest me. In terms of young talent, we've got JVR, Laurie, Howes and hopefully Turner, plus 1 or two others, to integrate into the team over the next 2-3 years.

We're likely to lose a fair bit of experience off the list - Daw is gone, and out of Dunstan, Weid, Tomlinson, Baker, MBrown, Chandler, Bedford we could/should lose at least 4 of them, and then Melk and Hibbo will be end of next year unless they retire this year. We don't want to fall away to quickly due to a lack of depth or too much youth.

I can absolutely understand why you and Topkent would consider trading Salem, and you have to give something good away sometimes to either get something good or to balance the cap, and I'd much rather him than lose a Harmes/Brayshaw/Viney, so I do get it - but has to be 100% on our terms.

I'd like to see Bowey play up on the wing at some stage too, not be pigeonholed as a defender.

I dont like the idea of playing short people on the wing, we tried that with Spargo and it was horrible.
