Do you have a link to the article? I can't find anything on Google or the AFL website. Not doubting you, just trying to find the article you referenced.
From the article below:

"For instance, it would have allowed Adelaide to list one of Rory Sloane or Taylor Walker as a veteran for 2024 and opened up another spot on their primary list. The idea was designed to keep veterans in the game without sacrificing a list spot that a youngster may have taken, with the veteran’s full payments still counted in the salary cap."

There's a link in the post above

Yep, let’s go recruit a bunch of complete dickheads. The one and only simple way to success. Don’t bother responding,
Define what you would class as a “dickhead”..

are you that completely and utterly naive that you think that its only one or two “bad eggs“ here and there that get on it with their mates in their spare time.. and the other few hundred AFL listed players are angels and would never do anything of the sort?..

Need to print it on the wall of the new building. Right next to all the premierships we won in the last 25 years
Yep.. Our “no dickhead“ policy is really kicking goals for us!..

if Clayton Oliver asked to be traded to your club.. you’d move mountains to make it happen.. if you didnt because you’re worried about some potential unwanted media attention.. then you shouldnt be in charge at any level in a football club.

TBF using Stengle as the example. We gave him plenty of warnings. He had multiple indiscretions. We gave him the opportunity to stay on the list with a 12 month suspension to work his way back into the team. He chose to play victim and told us to sod off. We really had no choice.

As far as Oliver goes, he was signed to Melbourne for another 5 seasons. They are heavily invested in him and didn't just want to give him away and he flourishes. It was only something that according to the reports blindsided everyone just before trade week. I do believe the Crows asked the question but by the impression I get, Melbourne didnt entertain any talks. They pushed for the interest to then have that conversation with Oliver that he could be gone. They wanted a commitment from him. I dont think at any stage were the Crows contacted by his manager or Melbourne. Not sure what else the Crows can do.

Game 1: Adelaide 2.7.3 (65) def Collingwood 1.3.9 (37)
Game 2: Adelaide 3.3.5 (53) def West Coast 0.7.4 (46)
Grand Final: Adelaide 3.3.7 (55) def Geelong 2.4.3 (47)

The night couldn't have gone any better for the Crows. Defender Jake Kelly looks to have taken his game to another level and hit the scoreboard with a few 'Zooper goals'. But the biggest positives were the performances of Cam Ellis-Yolmen, Curtly Hampton and Kyle Cheney. All three experienced players missed large chunks of last season with injury, especially Ellis-Yolmen, who was coming off a torn ACL this time last year. Hampton's pace and ability to break the lines will be vital through the midfield, but also off half-back. Tom Doedee's intercept marking was a highlight as he pushes his case to take over the Jake Lever role in the Crows' backline. Rookie-listed players Patrick Wilson and Lachlan Murphy played important roles at various times.

Unlike you, I havent forgotten our 2018 Trophy.

Whats hilarious about that picture..

Out of all of the lads that are in it.. theres only one lad there athats still on our current list..

And he’s probably the worst player of the lot of them!

I'm curious to know how you justify rating him lower than CEY, Hampton, Wilson and Dear? I can't even identify the player on the top right of the photo, so how anyone in their right mind could rank them below Murphy is entirely beyond me. But you do you...

I can understand you ranking him behind Doedee, and you could maybe argue the case for Kelly, Keath & Cheney as well (though you'd be stretching it).

Matthew Signorello, now playing good footy the last couple of years for Port Melbourne
Thanks for that identification.

So, going back to my previous post - how can anyone justify ranking Murphy behind Signorello, Dear, CEY, Hampton, or Wilson? Surely nobody in their right mind could genuinely make this assertion?

Leave the clam alone, he is a great judge of footy talent.

It will be exciting to watch Newchurch turn it on for his new team In 2024*

*Possibly in Pt Augusta

Don't post much but just spotted this.

Monaghan’s Karl Gallagher is the latest player to be linked to an AFL club, with Adelaide Crows expected to welcome him for a three-week trial later this month.

Gallagher has been in pursuit of an AFL opening for some time having done the draft combine in 2019, when his testing results were among the best.

Now 21, Gallagher is expected to engage in some of the AFL’s pre-season work as they begin preparations for 2024.

From the R4 changes thread:

huludicidal:
Out: Butts (either injured or horrendously out of form or both)
In: Keane

MsTopG:
Butts and Smith need to go. Both leak goals with stupid decisions and bad skills. Get Keane and Wozzell in asap.

George Kramer:
I'd go Keane for Butts.
I should be in match committee. Pretty spot on as usual.

That surname sends shudders down any Crows fan's spine but after Keane looked so handy this year I'm willing to give him go

Pop quiz, hot shots:
