Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Maybe we should send Corbett back for Peel and bring Draper up the field. Corbett would be ready to fill in if required as he has played there in the Afl iirc. . Draoer and Davies don't look like they would be.

Watched Draper down at training defending against Amiss. Very strong and good burst to cut off some leads. Hamling is nothing but depth. Pearce seems to be living in the rehab squad, very concerning

I see a future where Naughton goes to Sydney because they love iconic, marketable key forwards. So McDonald gets shaken loose from the Swans because they will then have Naughton, Amartey, McClean and Jack Buller developing in the 2nds.

I think if we did get another KPF, we are budgeting on more Jackson onball time and frankly, if we cant get a midfield that's 90% Darcy, Jackson, Brayshaw, Johnson and Serong (if we are conservative and dont factor in Ras improving) being good enough in their primes then the coaching needs to improve.

That core midfield group should be strong enough to support with non elite players around the edges

McDonald gets me waaaaay more excited than Naughton, he's the perfect pairing for Amiss.

Naughton fits us better being a bit older IMO and is more proven, despite the people talking about his kicking. He's actually guaranteed A-grade (this is going to be 3 years in a row of over 40 goals) compared to McDonald still being unproven. Would be ecstatic with either though

Doesn't show that in the wafl. Very soft. Doesn't seem to be the right personality type to be a defender. Not they I actually know him. Impressions only.

Torrent is a great kick and has impressed me in the champs at times. I would like to look at him. Plays anywhere. Wouldn't mind a regular watchers opinion on him

We currently have ten players out of contract for 2024. Four of them are currently on the rookie list.

Signing both Henry and Sturt still leaves four picks with one of them taken up with Josh Treacy promoted.

Freo currently have #21, #40, #43, #58
I'd like to trade one of those picks in the 40s for Brockman.
