Dow has improvedLOB doesn't even play good VFL games.
2 weeks ago, Dow had 41 possessions, 11 clearances and still couldn't get a call to play in the seniors.

If you were putting Cottrell through the same lens as O'Brien he wouldn't even be on the list. Athletic trier who falls to pieces if we move the pace of off-the-ball movement up from 1970s standards.I am focused on the long long body of evidence LOB has put together that has shown he never has been and never will be afl standard. Cotts played well in 2 of his 4 games before last night. And was better than lob all year last year. Fisher in his career has at least shown signs of being an afl standard player for long chunks.
LOb never has.

If I were his manager I'd sit him down, tell him to stop trying to turn into a footballer and look at an athletics career. O'Brien's issues are far more fixable.
@ me in the R13 game thread if you want to discuss more.
Neither are our future right now, but I can see a path for O'Brien where we bother to offer him a contract. I do not feel the same way about Cottrell despite our need for speed.Respectfully disagree re LOB. Sub-standard AFL footballer
Maybe its how heās developed under our systemā¦perhaps another club may have got more from himā¦but heās not our future
