In his current or 2024 state, he would get murdered by opposition smalls with any sort of visible fitness.

He just needs to get much, much fitter so that he can show that he cares 100% of the time.

That seems to be the case with most our players. I would do it just so his poor fitness gets shown up and reviewed on Monday’s.

Ford would have the ability to shift back but I don’t see it with P.Curtis.

The main thing letting PC down is endurance. And it's letting him down to such an extent that he hurt us in several games this year, even in games where he looked dangerous. In a defensive system, he'd be dreadful.

Ford could probably do it, but I'd hate to see someone with his flair down that end. Might end up being necessary if we have enough blokes pushing for spots

So to clarify we all want to get highmore…

I don't. I think he would be fine as short-term back-up, but we have just picked up a couple of other players for this purpose, that's enough. If we have injuries and find ourselves running short of tallish defenders we can pick up Highmore or similar at the MSD. We need to finally take some talls at the draft rather than clogging up the list with more of these fringe types.
