Finally played Cordy in his right position down back he's a grinder at the oppo, not flash but constanly there he also takes no $hit & can hand it out when needed.
Next week is the big test. A lot tougher controlling Cameron coming off a big game as opposed to a 34 year old Jack Reiwoldt. This may give us a clue for potential life after Howard, perhaps?

Wilks took Jack to the cleaners yesterday... Zlugger was usually matched up against one of their kids.

Expect Wilks will get the job on the umpires pet again this week.

They're basically the same age (26/27). Nice to potentially have some depth in our KPD stocks though. Gives Van Es and Adams a couple years to develop at least anyway.

Something to be said about a FB who prioritises keeping his oppo quiet. No flash no spraying team mates. Just gets it done.

If we could build a strong midfield, with the whole team capable of winning contested ball, then Players like Hill, Henry can flourish.. Currently, half of the team can’t win contested ball, this needs to be addressed. Especially the backline. Stocker, Wilkie, Sinclair win their own ball. Webster, Howard are stoppers only, often punches the ball away then falls over, so need to be be improved.
Webster not winning his own ball…extraordinary…one of the bravest, fearless players on our list!

Do GWS interest in Clark imply they dont want to simply give away a 1st in a Salary dump ie Bowes to Gee last year so says give us Clark and we give you Haynes and a first to absorb that contract?
GWS at the moment have picks 6 & 9, then nothing to 47. I dont think they have any academy kids coming in this year? So for them to give up a 1st round pick would be a big ask, even if they were to get Clark and Hayne's salary of their books. They would also be one of the clubs talking to WCE about their No 1 pick.

For the Saints to take on Haynes reported at 1.2m next year it would put a huge dent in our ability to chase a quality midfielder. I guess if the club were to get pick 6 or 9 in the deal perhaps they think they can get a decent midfielder with that pick? I guess if we miss out on Flanders, Parish etc the draft is the way to go.

Be interested in who we look like bringing out from Ireland? Did I hear that Nick Walsh was involved in the player signing for us? Did he return to Ireland after he left the club?

That hurts. Doesn’t leave a lot for us unfortunately, especially with the draft looking thin on midfielders.
Well then, we should draft a midfielder who is unlikely to be drafted then - say, someone like Jai Newcombe.
He was overlooked in his draft year wasn't he ? Seems to go OK ?
