"Teakle out-muscled in ruck by Doyle" - commentator in regards to game. Agreed. He's good against the back-up, not the full time.

Hasn't been his best showing. WA playing poorly.

Aiden grace looks handy.

Averaging 2.5 goals a game in the SANFl.

Not a KPF though 😩
Former Tasmanian, star of the TSL when he played for Glenorchy.

He is 26 and a medium forward. Probably not interested in him. That said, he is 189cm and could offer something to a side if they were interested. Personally think age means he won't be drafted.

There season is over. They'll pick best available rather than short term needs. That might be Teakle but probably not.

Thet already have a few developing ruck options (Colina, Ryan, & Hayes-Brown) so best available would likely take them in a different direction.

Realistically, the players mentioned are the best shot.

Dunkley at the Lions follows given they have four spots open and need depth. Bianco, likely.

Blight, McLennan maybe.

Harder to tell after that. This draft has a number of openings but it depends how much teams want to add depth.

It's not exactly easy to find a ruck in the MSD that will be ready to come in and play big games or finals. Weigh the chance of that succeeding against the chance of having enough injuries for it to be necessary and against what we could cobble together, even with a few injuries, and it's not clear that we need a ruck or any tall.

The likelihood of any player we pick being able to play for us this year is small. Doubt we reduce that by focusing on a specific type. If there isn't anyone very likely at all, maybe we pick someone just as "hope we don't need backup" in the short term, but doubt that'd be our preference.

Unless Teakle was a player who only 'just' missed out on being selected as an SSP, because at the time our needs were for mids & a defender.

Now we have a need for a ruck, he (or another ruck man) seems the most logical choice, as all our depth/back ups in the VFL are injured.

There’s gotta be a late blooming tall somewhere that is worth a shot at either end of the ground….
But we’ll prob opt for Ben Long or another Sullivan replacement in the two’s…

I'd be taking Pike ahead of Teakle. 30 HOs in the VFL on the weekend, 2 goals against men, named in the best, strong CTL season.

How is his overhead marking?
Yeah, I just want a tall who can provide a decent contest in the air - not too worried about the hitouts - you can work around poor ruckwork, it's the aerial presence that we get from our rucks that is important to us and that we don't have forwards that can be relied upon to give us.

People are forgetting Rich just lost Naismith, and with a pick before us, I doubt Teakle will be available even if we wanted him.
Not sure what plan B is under those circumstances.

With the AFL mid-season draft looming (29 May), two from the WAFL side, Brynn Teakle and Jacob Blight are believed to have attracted interest.Coach Cam Shepherd said of the pair: “I think Blight showed that he can take a good mark and roll off.“There are some areas of his defending that certainly he needs to improve in, and he needs to just hit the easy kick.“Brynn showed again some good signs. He certainly did himself no harm.”Blight did turn the ball over a couple of times early, but was solid in defence, with 13 marks and 17 disposals.Teakle had his hands full against SA trio Amos Doyle, Mitch Harvey and Riley Holder. But had 16 hit-outs, took five marks, had three clearances and 20 possessions.
