If it’s shown we didn’t re-sign nas because we didn’t offer enough money - I have no issues slamming the club.

But right now I’m seeing the club make a fair old effort to get that signature. More then they definitely did for old mate Battle

It’s unlikely we’ll ever get a definitive comment that we didn’t pay him enough to keep him. I doubt it’ll ever even be that clear one way or the other.

NAS Has said he would like to do something special At Stkilda

I used to live up in an Aboriginal community and up there a persons uncle was considered their father and actually referred to as "dad" a lot of the time. Same with aunties being mum.

No doubt getting Tex a job would be big for Gavin but also it's worth remembering this could be like him referring to his own son. He also said he teared up when Nas kicked that goal last week.

It's interesting that he's commenting at all, makes me think Gavin thinks he'll stay but you're right if it helps Tex then he probably has other agendas whether he's aware or not.

Fingers crossed. Will be a great moment for the club if we can get the signature. Can't afford to keep losing good players, especially a generational one.

I haven't come across anyone at Port or any Port supporters than think he works there. I asked on the Port board and got nothing.

It may be true that he has a small role at Port in one of our indigenous programs but I think it might be just one of those rumours that grew legs.

Nas $2m for 2 and Terry $2m x2 back ended to be paid only if Nas then extends for another 8.

There is a point at which if the compensation was sufficient that avoiding spending overs for NAS would be completely justified. For example if Adelaide or Port were able to get the two Ricmond draft picks (2&3) and ontraded them to us plus their FRDP then I would think that was fair. Maybe if NAS is not willing to sign we start talks with the Adelaide clubs and get a bidding war going. Stop playig defensive and go full court press on NAS/his manager.

You can put it up anyway you want but if we bring in TDK and Aleer while losing a generational player best player we have had in 15 years. It’s on no one else but the club and list management. And club will look stupid

But what you will do is say he was homesick - blame his manager- even question NAS’s character maybe make up some rubbish like blaming his mum or his girlfriend lol while not once acknowledging or putting any blame on SOS or Gubby. If NAS does leave both should be removed

So no matter what the clubs does - even if they bring Jesus in to meet Nas …if he goes….its all because the club failed and no other reasoning matters ?
