Exactly. Which is why we will accept the best offer in a trade. We won't turn down a player and a first rounder and take nothing, just because it isn't as much as we'd get if he was contractedHe won’t end up anywhere except StKilda or an SA club.

'Part of something special': Star happy at Saints as decision on future looms

Let's not forget what he said in June.

With the port trade I’m not sure the afl will let them trade their future pick. The reason the rule was brought in was to save clubs from selling their future away. They already let them do it jhf. I don’t think the afl will let them do it again. Their future will be cooked, no depth. It would be a very ordinary look from the afl if the put in rules that are effectively as strong as jelly.
No, he went in the national draft. And was an injury plagued player who refused to do a medical anywhere except for Collingwood.Which is why having a better post than port in the PSD is good for our negotiation.
Luke Ball was taken with pick 30 in the PSD…
As I said in October last yearFair out why didn’t we draft Murphy Reid
Correct.I agree. Nas is thriving now largely because he is our designated 'make something happen' guy. If he calls for the ball, most of the time he is getting it and he has licence to go anywhere.
If he goes to Port he might not even be playing midfield. And even if he is, he will be joining a stacked midfield and won't be the teams' entire game plan like he is now.
Adelaide is a similar story.
I stand corrected on the PSD comment, I thought that a player could not nominate for that once they had been listed. No, he went in the national draft. And was an injury plagued player who refused to do a medical anywhere except for Collingwood.

Hard to argue with that.![]()
It would be another tool saints could use. Put pressure on the afl to not allow it to force them to give up a top line player. It's not like they'd be trading it for Bont, with a few years left. It'd be for a 22 year old superstar who will almost certainly play more games than whoever goes at that draft pick. They will allow it
And if he was the standard of a Keeler, Henry or any other Indigenous kid in the AFL system on the minimum wage living away from their home city who may not get another contract, what should they do.Gavin returned home after 6 seasons. Clearly, Eddie Sansbury isn't considered Nas' dad. That's what Terry did, who moved back to SA as Gav's sister and him wanted to be near home. Its clear that its the Wanganeen side of the family who have that pull. What complicates things is Tex.
I dont begrudge him and will never call a kid, especially a young indigenous kid a mummy's boy. I am desperate for him to stay, but we are all pretty ignorant when it comes to his culture and family situation.
The pressure on him from everyone including his best mate must be intense. How he is performing the way he is is actually incredible and a testament to his mental strength and ability.

What's the go with Max Heath? Out of contract, is he a chance to resign?
Probably not to be honest. If we bring in TDK and marshal stay we won’t need him. Already have Dodson and keeler developing nicely. Have heard you guys are interested. What's the go with Max Heath? Out of contract, is he a chance to resign?
I think we'd keep him on a one-year deal but if a suitor came knocking with some draft picks worth DVI points to help us match a bid for our NGA player then we'd definitely consider it IMOWhat's the go with Max Heath? Out of contract, is he a chance to resign?

Agree I moved interstate and I’m in my 20s it’s the best thing I’ve ever done, he needs to go get some girls and stop being a virginWell said.
Jesus, I just don't get this "homesick" nonsense at all. It's Adelaide...not the f*cking frozen Tundra of Greenland.
In the modern world one can talk to and see their family through all sorts of modern mechanisms. It's not like you have to raise pigeons and attach little notes to their tiny f*cking legs hoping the Golden horde of Ghengis Kahn doesn't shoot it down to feast upon its flesh and find out where you live. Times have moved on...possibly even improved depending on opinion.
