The bombers own supporters don't rate his kicking and they see him much more than we do
Well maybe some perspective, people were putting up chasing Sam Walsh and he surely comes with a heftier price tag both draft capital and salary cap wise and not too many rate his kicking either.

Is he best 22?

3rd, 4th rounder for him?
Put it this way he'd be way way better than any midfielder we'd draft with those picks in this year's draft.

He's only 20 and he was a pick 5 for a reason.

Do you think Rankine is a better midfielder than he is a forward, I don't.

Port Power knew it was between us or the Saints so decided to put their salary capital on Bergman which will explain that hand grenade Port Power threw about Walker.
Said it couple weeks ago. Whoever spread the Tex rumour was the same as whoever spread the Draper rumour of not wanting to be drafted by the Crows. They hated the fact that the crows are the preferred SA team from Draper and now NWM.

He would be the worst ball user in our side. That's why he doesn't get games

Still think we low key Ashton Moir, 4 goal 17 possie game last week playing forward with bursts in the middle. His kicking off both feet is ridiculous.

He must have run over Vossies dog because there is no way he shouldn't be making that side
Still learning the running patterns required at afl level. Skills not the problem.

I've watched Ashton play sport since he was about 12 years old.
As a basketballer, he was probably the best player in the State for his age group. A fierce competitor, skilled and had a great read for the game, Always knew what he needed to do.

As football player he looked like a young D Jarman. Moved like a rolls royce, super balanced and elite skills. Never phased, he just dominated games effortlessly.

I suspect this is the first time in his life he's had to really work and hasn't been the best player without trying. At the end of his junior career you started to notice that he wasn't dominating like he had. His last few games for SA were a concern - he skirted packs, got few possessions and didn't seem to be having an impact. When he started with Carlton it was the same. A bit of talent showing through here and there, but not enough work ethic and not enough desire.

If he can add those two to his talents, then he could be a star. It's still a big if though.

Isn’t Tsatas more in the delist category? His disposal is horrifically bad. And he doesn’t seem to get in good positions at AFL level. We can do a lot better than grabbing him. Time to aim high with every transaction. We are so close. Just need a bit of midfield cream on top now.

I spoke to an ex-AFL player who knew Moir during his draft year.

Said that he really struggled with the scrutiny. Suddenly his name is appearing on mock drafts, reviews of matches online, AFL scouts are watching matches. Mock drafts might be small fry media in real terms but for a 17yo draft hopeful it's their world.

Quiet patches or games got to him. Previously he'd been able to play in relatively anonymity. Not all 17yo players are mature/confident enough to handle their draft year. Akin to freaking out about Yr 12 exams.

The situation affected him and the fun of playing football stopped. He ceased playing the natural, instinctive game he'd played up until then. Worrying about what he should be doing, what people were saying.

I often reflect on this at draft time. Ridiculous amount of scrutiny is put on people who are essentially children.

Always get a nagging feeling that there would be benefit in either raising the draft age, or limiting the number of 18 year olds a club could take in any given year.

Elijah Tsatas is the player that interests me, how he's not getting regular games in the Bombers midfield is mystifying, racks up massive numbers in the VFL every week.
Had a massive game against the Crows in the 2nd round with 11 clearances and in the 4 games he's played (1 as sub) he sits 9th on the AFL players ladder for centre clearances (2.75/game), has top end speed and agility, clean hands, good footy I.Q. and a ball magnet to boot.

Yet Scott continues to ignore his excellent VFL form so surely he'd be looking for more AFL opportunities elsewhere and given Scott won't play him you wouldn't think he'd cost too much despite being a former high end draft pick in the very strong 2022 draft.
Wasn't the knock on Tsatas that his disposals rarely end up in the same postcode as his intended target?
