Agree...all i want from the season is for Coll NOT to win the flag. It's too much to take for me!!!They’re the only hope to keep Filth from a flag with their current list.

He’s certainly down in confidence & isn’t alone.Curnow worked his arse off. Led strongly up the ground and took quite a few contested marks. But absolutely no confidence at all kicking for goals which is strange to see from a Coleman Medallist.
His brother may be shit wrapped in Teflon, but Matthew's the best guy for that job.I don't want him anywhere near the club after what his brother has dished up for us!
Once again we only converted 1 in 5 i50 entries to a goal. 9 goals from 45 i50.We had 45 inside 50's for the game that resulted in 18 marks inside 50 - not sure you can say we didn't have a system - just failed to convert the great opportunities we created

Yep 9 goals from 45 entries but was that from lack of opportunity or lack of conversion.Once again we only converted 1 in 5 i50 entries to a goal. 9 goals from 45 i50.
We allowed Brisbane 15 from 61 so basically 1 in 4.
We were down on entries compared to our average of about 55 and we average less than 50 against, so conversion wasn't the only issue
There was probably 3-4 that were very easy that Brisbane players kicked. We had momentum for long periods but would get destroyed off a point going the other way for a lions goal. Maybe we could have been a bit closer with those goals going through.Would feel better about the losses if we kicked straight
It’s an issues we’ve had for years and would ideally like to put that behind us….
Anyway, a lot to like ion respecting internet and the way we tried to use the ball , but a lot to dislike too - basic errors from senior players very frustrating
Yes the missed shots were frustrating particularly the ones that were followed by an easy goal to them down the other end.Yep 9 goals from 45 entries but was that from lack of opportunity or lack of conversion.
Moir had 2 shots, Charlie had 2, Fogarty 1 and Motlop 1 (probably a couple of others I have forgotten)that were all from around 30m and incredibly gettable and they missed every one - lets just say we convert only 3 of those 6 and end up with 12 goals from 45 entries - that becomes a better goal to inside 50 ratio than the Lions.
Yep 45 inside 50's is low - but I put that down to the Lions being elite last night. Their tackle pressure and ball use was exceptional. Throw in the fact the Lions injury list before the game consisted of Payne and McCarthy while ours had Kemp, Cottrell, McKay, Walsh, Saad, Silvagni & Newman (plus Smith) who are largely replaced with players like O'Farrell, F Young, Moir & Carroll - I don't see it being so much about lack of a "system"Yes the missed shots were frustrating particularly the ones that were followed by an easy goal to them down the other end.
Conversion is our #1 issue. If we improved that other things would follow such as motivation and enthusiasm.
I was just pointing out that 45 i50 generally isn't enough and conceding 60 is too many. Both outside our season averages.
100%I have worked with elite athletes for over 40 years.
There is one thing that never changes. If you have no trust in what you do the basics fall away and quickly. Even worse in a team sport. It's like a disease
Lets not kid ourselves.Yep 45 inside 50's is low - but I put that down to the Lions being elite last night. Their tackle pressure and ball use was exceptional. We probably would have lost but I honestly believe the Lions have the best list in the comp, over the last 3 or 4 years have been able to consistently been able to put their best team out on the park and last night they were absolutely on in every facet.Lets not kid ourselves.
Systems is definitely part of our woes - although not the whole issue.
Even if we had those players you mentioned we'd most likely have lost but the margin would probably have been closer.
32898What was the crowd figure?
Motlop had 17 possessions, 5 clearances, 4 tackles and was involved in 25% of our scores - but whip away I suppose.Motlop is a C grade mid with a D grade footy brain - no just no
Given the number of empty seats clearly visible the bars must have been overflowing.32898
and yet Motlop is our 3rd leading goal kicker this season. So he is better than Fogarty Durdin Fantasia White Evans as a small forward. He is more of a threat to score than our awesome midfielders like Cripps Cerra Hewett Walsh and you can chuck in TDK as well. He is a kid that has become an easy target.Motlop is barely VFL standard. I’m not sure where any positivity about him is coming from. His trade value is zero. Delist.
Hopefully that was Voss’ last game as coach. His time is over.
I am amazed at how far people can stretch to criticise Motlop.Motlop is barely VFL standard. I’m not sure where any positivity about him is coming from. His trade value is zero. Delist.

Minor point imoWe probably would have lost but I honestly believe the Lions have the best list in the comp, over the last 3 or 4 years have been able to consistently been able to put their best team out on the park and last night they were absolutely on in every facet.
And there is a massive difference between saying "We have no system" and "Systems is definitely part of our woes"
He’s miles in front of durdin and Fogarty for startersI am amazed at how far people can stretch to criticise Motlop.
Outside of his set shot last night he was quite good but yet still cops abuse.
He's going to be very very good.Just wanted to highlight HOF's game.
I thought he took a giant leap last night and you could see that he feels he belongs at this level.
He reminds me of Michael Sexton but taller.
His ability to get to the front of a contest and one grab was on show last night. His disposal and vision are top quality as well.
With another 6-8 kgs on that huge frame, he could be our CHB for the next 12 years.
He's just an easy target. Far from the problem. Clearly our second best small forward behind a fit Zac Williams. And he's only 21 years old so obviously has a heap of scope to improve.I am amazed at how far people can stretch to criticise Motlop.
