Cool. You're the one who opened up with a broadside at anyone entertaining the idea of trading De Goey - a perfectly reasonable idea to entertain in this threadThen really the whole conversation is irrelevant
It’s personal because your strategy is to try and discredit the person you are discussing with. What’s personal about this?
Do you watch much footy outside of Collingwood games? Nothing about what you’re saying indicates you do, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but it also means you’re probably underrating the player Rowell is.
Why do you need to know what random people on the internet would give up? They have no influence on trade value, we need to trust that Leppitsch is capable of getting us a decent deal.
No, that’s not correct. I didn’t open with a “broadside.” I’ve discussed the topic in a respectful manner. You don’t need to get emotional about it.Cool. Sounds like you’re seeing things that aren’t there tbh. It’s personal because your strategy is to try and discredit the person you are discussing with.
Yeah, totallyNo, that’s not correct. I didn’t open with a “broadside.” I’ve discussed the topic in a respectful manner. You don’t need to get emotional about it.
Mate, people who think we should trade Jordy are morons.
Did we ever believe the $900k nonsense? So now it’s “about 800k” for perryman.
Instead of the inflammatory rubbish that was 900k+
You do it all the time.Sounds like you’re seeing things that aren’t there tbh.
They’re observations I’ve made based on your posts. You do it all the time.
For example, you said I can’t be objective about players I like. And just now you asked if I watch other games.
This is a strategy you use to discredit my opinion.
I didn’t, no!Did we ever believe the $900k nonsense?
OK, yeah that was a bit full on. I should have toned that down a bit.Yeah, totally

You do it consistently to many people on this board. It’s your MO.They’re observations I’ve made based on your posts.
I mean, at least I didn’t call you and everyone who shares your opinion morons. That would have been a very disrespectful and personal thing to do.
If you say so Jdiddles. You do it consistently to many people on this board. It’s your MO.
I don’t believe it’s as low as you’d think.
And yes, several. I’m actually very experienced in the real estate market so this isn’t the way to try and lecture me. It won’t end the way you think.
Sorry, I have no idea what that means. If you say so Jdiddles.
I don't think it's simplistic. He's been approached (and somewhat tempted) by other clubs before, isn't realising his potential, and it was in reference to a player being rumoured to be interested in coming here. De Goey does fit a certain Hardwick style.OK, yeah that was a bit full on. I should have toned that down a bit.
I do think it’s a simplistic, some might say moronic, view to just throw De Goey into the trade discussion without thinking about it in depth.
He asked a question and I answered. Don’t turn it in to something it’s not.Weird flex but ok
It’s just a fun nickname. Nothing sinister, you have my word.Sorry, I have no idea what that means.
Is it a compliment?
Appreciate the effort in getting the stats.Matt Rowell and Jordan De Goey AFL Stats Comparison

To give Jordy as much advantage as I could I used his career best 2023 vs Rowell this season. Rowell comes out on top in several areas.
In terms of career?

Once again Rowell comes out ahead in several areas, namely ball winning and clearances, much like the last comparison. Jordy has the edge in terms of scoring and marks due to his extensive time playing forward of the ball. Rowell tackles a lot more too. Consistency is the biggest one for me though, the gap between Rowells best and worst is significantly narrower than Jordy’s, and he stays on the park, whereas Jordy has always struggled to play a full season and that doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon.
Feels like many here are severely underrating Rowell, he’s been excellent for a long time in a pretty bad side, and he’s looking even better this year in a good one. Is Jordy’s best better than Rowell’s? Probably. But given the inconsistency in seeing that best version of him I’d take Rowell every day of the week.
Yes, I read the Dusty comparison. I think my view has been made clear, and others are perhaps more open to trading him.I don't think it's simplistic. He's been approached (and somewhat tempted) by other clubs before, isn't realising his potential, and it was in reference to a player being rumoured to be interested in coming here. I don’t really care Apex, if it makes you happy then go for it.It’s just a fun nickname. Nothing sinister, you have my word.
You are being condescending and then trying to say what's the problem. Classic. What’s personal about this?
