He hasn’t made a decision as yet as far as I know. Carlton, Saints, North and Melbourne are keen. Wants more midfield minutes so not sure how that would work
at North. Will post if I hear something.
If midfield minutes is the deciding factor, you'd think St Kilda is the favourite of those four.

If WC get pick 2 for Allen and we can get pick 7 off GC, maybe we can use Duursma (and Phillips/RHJ and whatever) to jump from pick 7 to pick 2. If WC are looking at a WA guy like Schubert, after taking Willem Duursma.
I doubt we'd bother doing that unless we wanted someone like Duff-Tytler at 2.
Think we'd just sit back and take whoever we are after to want to trade up to 6 or 10 with GC.

Richmond, or whoever they traded the pick too instead, may have taken Matt. But, as you say, we would have got one of the brothers, likely our pick, and would have been significantly better off. We are our own worst enemy with this stuff. The utter stupidity of the Daniel trade ..................... there are no words.
Think that looks positively inspired against the Zac Fisher trade which, against much competition, could be the club’s worst yet ….

So if Giants beat Hawks then WCE will have pick 11. If GC lose to Freo they'll have pick 12 (and Port's 6 and Pies *15).
Things could get interesting in trade week if Zane wants out and/or we trade up.

Was having a chat with David Swallow’s old man over the weekend. He reckons Dave would be open to finishing up his career at North.
No offence to Dave but do all players who are about to be delisted consider us their last chance saloon to hopefully rack up one final $300k pay check?

Sad if this is truly how far we've fallen.

And didn't we get stiffed on Sanders... ?
Nahhh, we couldn't bid on him even when he was finally NGA'd to us...but guess what, that rule changed the following year when the scum was able to get Kako - go figure!!

So "The trade" could realistically end up being:

North give: 2025 Pick 3, 2025 Pick 21, 2026 second round pick
North get: Matt Whitlock, 2025 Pick 6, 2025 Pick 56

I'm okay with that.

Note: Gold coast end up getting Pick 20 as well which was handed over from Richmond so the entire trade could really be:

North give: 2025 Pick 3, 2025 Pick 21, 2026 second round pick
North get: 2025 Pick 6, 2024 Pick 27 (Matt Whitlock) 2025 Pick 56

Richmond give: 2024 Pick 27 (Matt Whitlock), 2025 Pick 20
Richmond get: 2025 Pick 3

GCS give: 2025 Pick 6, 2025 Pick 56
GCS get: 2025 Pick 20, 2025 Pick 21, 2026 Second round pick (NM)

Wonder what we’d be prepared to give Port for Jack Whitlock given we were prepared to use a certain top 10 pick on Matt.
That is a hard one to answer Makeshift Park, I actually wanted Jack but he's a key forward with no other position, can play back but his primal position is that key forward role. Done some good things in his games at Port but I would be shocked if he doesn't stay at the club, I would offer a second rounder for him but on potential Port would simply do two things, laugh and say "Yeah sorry mate, he's contracted" and "He's happy here at Port and loving Adelaide".😀
