Gather round is a neutral game. There are no benefits both in the arena and tickets wise. Does not matter if you are listed as the home team as it is an 'extra round' which doesn't count as one of your home or away games.
Home team gets the better change room and away team wears white shorts

Gather round.
Geelong V WCE

The AFL are about as see through as Piastri’s team.

I will be eager to see if the AFL have the gall to give them a double up game later in the year at alphabet stadium.
The AFL have found a way of preventing their annual Easter Monday hangover loss.

This is incorrect.
For gather round against port we were the away team. I have videos of us running out through the wider race (better changeroom) with white shorts. This also applied to our final against adeliade.
I have also asked the club and its a coin flip. U either get home shorts and small race or white shorts and wide race.

Dont think its been posted yet but

So already confrmed/reported
GWS [Away] (opening round)
Essendon [Away] (Round 1)
Geelong [Home] (Easter Monday)
Western Bulldogs [Neutral site] (Gather round)
Lions [Away]
Gold Coast [Away]

Reckon we could end up doubling up with GWS and GC, because would assume they might be played in Tassie... Reckon then Crows (might be a decent slot to celebrate 25 years in Tassie (they were our first opponent I believe) and maybe North again (Honestly dont know what will happen with Tassie this year though since the capacity is reduced to 9k this year)

Don't know if we might get Geelong in Geelong again or if thats seen as too big of a draw

We did that in 2025. It’s a joke how we are playing 4 games at a stadium that holds 9,000 when it was decided that the Dogs (a club that draws half the crowds we do) we’re too big to play in Ballarat. This year we played 7 home and away games before 60,000 plus

GWS- opening round
*- Round 1
?- Round 2
Bye- Round 3
Geelong Easter Monday- Round 4

R0 GWS away
R1 *
R3 Freo/Suns/Lions away
R4 Geelol
R5 Dogs off 5 day break. Geelol with 6 day break.

Honestly wonder if the Tassie goverment ever thought about asking us to play a couple of the Tassie games in Launceston could have done a 2-2 split instead... but I guess for a contender probably wouldnt want to have home games in 4 venues

Our current administration has done lots of good stuff, but we are spineless in regards to our fixture. Tigers put their foot down and said they would only play in Tassie if all other 10 home games were @ MCG and the AFL acquiesced.
