This was my reply to roos_fanatic08 (pre draft and pick swap) saying he was 100% confident Dovaston would be a top 10 player from this draft.I agree.
It’s almost just a matter of style or aesthetics of why he’s not been talked about more. He doesn’t have that wow factor that we usually associate with small forwards but he’s very effective and his numbers back that up.
Then you add in the athletic traits (agility the big one) and most importantly the attitude/competitiveness, it’s a great recipe. He was ultra consistent and I think his attitude is the big driver of that and why I agree with you 100%.
Would be a perfect fit for us too![]()
It’s crazy how much people will over react this early in a preseason… though if we think this is bad bad wait until the preseason games start happeningJesus Christ are people really putting question marks on a kid who is probably less than 40 full training sessions into their career?
Dovaston will be a player, nothing surer.
He's carrying his left? His gait is a little skewiff.CCJ looks to be back in full training

LDU and JK amongst those with the gastro during the weekOn quick glance LDU not here
Spargo still in yellow non contact hat
1st on the track and straight into his own warm up, comfortably minutes before anyone else appeared.seen enough
parker can go for 2 more years.
Be ready to go next week ....Sausage been doing all kinds of running exercises for 1.5 hours now. Looks reasonably fit, and so much power. Really hope this is his year
RH towelled up CM defensively in an earlier drill, maybe 4 - 0.pink still our best 1v1 defender.
Very smooth. Actually stood out, imo.Xavier bamert looks classy
Our vfl lad from sandy
Like Hugh Byrne as a KPf also
Tbf to LU, he actually hit a couple of nice balls ealier in the day, drew some praise. His running style reminds me a little of Jurgen Klinsmann. He'll be right.Option as tagger/ inside mid who handballs to one of our mids who can kick ?
Temu Banch. Imo. Banged a couple from the pocket drill, got the "that's why we got you".i’m not writing him off at all, i was as happy as anyone when we got him, i just haven’t seen much from him so far

Great reports all, I went today. Was interesting I had forgotten that several maybe coming off the trots. I was lucky/unlucky enough to go to training 6 or 7 times last summer but hadnt been this year before today.
Last year I was always leaving thinking it had been somehow a "browns cows" type effort and they didnt seem like a team trying to get off the bottom.
Thought today was quite a step up from last summers viewing in general. A few things the same , LMac missing basic targets, Goater looks shot which i think someone else said, I really hope not because I had him as my number 2
Riley “The Mailman” HardemanHardeman is looking like Karl Malone out there with those shoulders.
I disagree both are injury prone throw in Ccj as well, I’ll admit George was moving well in his running , if they can’t get on the ground fit then they need to to be moved on.For Goater I wouldn’t read to much into it yet. Success for him and George this year is different. Attack the back half of the year stay fit. If either plays over 6 games and stays fit they will likely earn 1 more year
George and Banch ramped up over the morning and after their initial physio lead movement drills, they ran through quite a bit of leading into space while the other kicked out to them on the move. The distance grew over the morning. Banch just in runners iirc. Then BG started on his individual running. Fisher did some running in a similar vein too, after taking a few set shots. Is he in cruise mode? His "run up" to take these shots was like Herman Munster trying to run. His inaccuracy told the story of his ghastly set shot routine.I disagree both are injury prone throw in Ccj as well, I’ll admit George was moving well in his running , if they can’t get on the ground fit then they need to to be moved on.
