Had lunch with an AFL recruiter today who happens to be a good friend and he spoke highly of Simpkin. Thinks he was first rounder last year and has it all. Good speed, evasive, gutsy, good overhead for his size and one touch player with excellent disposal.

He saw his only game this year and he said he was so impressive. Will be a midfielder who kicks goals.

I reckon he'll end up being more similar to Shaun Higgins than Daniel Wells.

He's a bit more athletic than Higgins, kicks more goals too, I've always likened him to Sidebottom.
