I could always see the composure and skill with ball on hand but couldn’t see him getting his body right and was unsure he could consistently and effectively defend at what is now a ridiculous height.

Not there yet but I’m looking very, very wrong at this point. And couldn’t be happier!

Should play the Ridley role against the Hawkes.

Reads the play well and has a nice kick on him. McKay is the only lock-down tall we need unless we play the Cats or Blues. Saints might be a problem early on though.
Hopefully Ridley is back but there are options to throw someone back
Cox
Laverde
Weideman
Possibly try Jones

Pressuring their forward entries will be key. If you make the opposition’s disposal hurried, or loopy, then your Cox and Laverde types can still read the the play well enough to be effective intercept players.

For s big guy making his way, imho, would be silly to be confusing the young man. Let him play the role we have him pencilled in for long term and bring someone else in to fill Ridley's void

Very happy he’s up, going and looking effective.

In the cats game, was intrigued by a couple of his super ambitious kicks - short, diagonal, inside D50 with little margin for error. Nailed them… but looked close.

Hoping that’s a sign his kicking is major Dean Robinson.
