I did email them earlier I'll write them another one later. They should provide us with both options. I'm hoping they'll bring the html version back for the season proper.

I don't mind what they've done to it. It's a bit too crowded though.

As said before, the listing of players by first names is ridiculous.

Only a little thing, but I also wouldn't mind having the order of the stats rearranged. It doesn't seem right having teh marks first up.

Gotta say, its looks ok but i've just realised something wacky...last night I was looking at the countdown to the games on the front page and realised they were all way off. Had a look again today and they were way off, like 2 hours behind. Realised that they are going on Tokyo time (where I'm living), ie. my computer's clock. So, the countdown clocks are not adjusted for the different timezone. Is this a common problem for websites or just a momumental ******** up? I wonder if any other internationals are getting this.

Also don't know about anyone else, but have not been able to listen online to SEN or 3AW since last week. Its a freakin nightmare for someone overseas with no other access to the games.

The second one. :D

If you go to the live stats page for each game there is a live radio link. Part of the radio rights regime is that SEN, 3AW and others have to shut down their live Internet feeds during AFL game calls but the audio is available through afl.com.au.

FiveAA didn't shut theirs down last night. I could listen to Crows v Power through their website, not afl.

Yeh, have been having trouble with audio overseas, especially getting SEN during matches.

The links off the AFL site dont work either, have to use the websites of the individual stations.

On the "Goal Map", The Blues are in Red, the Dons in Blue! Surely getting that page team-appropriate wouldn't be too hard, not just home=red, away=blue.

Also, there is a "pitch view"... come on, we aren't soccer or rugby. It's an oval or ground, not a pitch. Hate the way to see the detailed full stats for the away team you have to go through the opposition's stats first.

Bo, they shouldn't do "whatever colour is closer to to the team colour". Blue and red for home and away is fine.

As for the new live scoring, I think it's amazingly better than last year. I'm having 0 issues. Working smoothly. It's infinitely great. I'm actually very surprised because I expected way less (didn't even expect LTing for NAB cup!).

So I give props to Telstra on this.

There are some bugs to iron out, but so what? It's new. The core structure is working fine. So come round 1, it should be working for everyone. And because it's Flash and not JS, there are no port blocking issues for people who don't have user friendly firewalls.

Thanks monty...but afraid i'm having troubles with that (from the Gameday Live page) aswell. Just loads up the little prod.xml thingy window with the media player on it and than says 'Ready' but doesn't play. I know it's not really an issue for this forum but wondering if anyone else has same prob.

Also, can anyone enlighten me as to the reason for the names being listed in alphabetical order by first name. It's bizarre, why would they do it?

Because they are stupid, thats was one of the first things i noticed when i opened it up. Surely someone there noticed that.

Just spent the last hour trying to get some radio streaming. Tried 3AW, MMM to no avail.

Then got onto afl.com.au to try and sign up to watch some highlights. Again, just nothing happening when I click the link.

I'm pissed. Chinese internet bars are noisy and smokey but I couldn't bare going into the office on my only day off. I'm just trying to follow my beloved team.

FFS do the AFL want to promote the game or what?!!

It's a f*****g joke.

I'm outta here.

Just remember, during the NAB Cup games, the live scoring is in testing. The alphabetical thing will be fixed by round 1.

Ultimately, it gives you guys time to work out some issues with your computer settings regarding video and audio in time for the season opening.

Some things are buggy and don't work correctly, but the majority is fine.

I really don't believe an HTML version is coming, sadly.
