Strangely enough both the channel 7 scoreboard bug graphic and Fox scoreboard bug graphic in 2025 are quite similar. Both are awful but the channel 7 version is at least slightly smaller and more centered.

I really like their 3QT scoreboard, very clean!

This shows that a number of them have been unimpressive, but you get used to a style change.

It's size and placement that are most jarring. Small and in a corner is my preference. The style isn't that important.

I wonder how much the use of mobile devices and watching the coverage from each broadcasters respective apps influenced the sizing decision. It’s jarring on TV for sure, and I’d prefer it be smaller but it’s not the end of the world and I’m sure I’ll get used to it.

I've always found Fox to have the superior and more pleasing to the eye scoreboard graphics. Can't believe it but I think 7's is better right now. It's smaller than and not as in your face as the Fox one but it's still too big and needs to be bottom left. Or even top left.

It's bizarre that the new 7 score numbers are huge yet both the timer and goal/behind numbers are actually a bit smaller than before. The different font for the scores is okay but kind of jarring imo, I would've kept the same font as the goal/behind numbers as that's a very clean looking font.

Good they got rid of the cringy 'Live and free' top right. I wonder if they worked out that the "We just love the footy" line they churn out also makes people want to vomit.

Having it at the top may be better than top, but bottom middle is much better than the bottom corner
