Man that is so disapointing. Again the lack of communication. They should have announced that it's not going to be ready by the start of season (they still haven't) not an interview on a website I'd never heard of before (no offense berisha, I just don't follow gaming news outside of here and r/gaming, good write up). As soon as I read that I stopped caring.
I guess one good thing is that now you have heard of us!

I think it became obvious it wasn't going to be ready for the start of the season given they haven't announced a date yet.

It was a great interview so not knocking the effort put in there, but they talk about not being able to announce things because of AFL restriction but then go on and tell you it won't be ready until after Round 1.

I'm wondering why they couldn't have just announced that themselves, along with all the other tidbits they mentioned in the interview?

Again not knocking you berisha just frustration over the lack of communication on their end.
I guess they can tell you when it isn't coming but not when it is coming.

Thanks for reading and the kind words :)

Made sense from a long time ago, as development time was running away not only would the game have a limited time span once new consoles are released, they would have to pump further resources into updating their in house engine. This way they can just leave it to Epic for the price of licensing. More money saved than what it would have cost in the long run at the expense of a delayed release. I don't follow then too closely and know which engine they previously preferred, but when I was trying to dig some info out for this board last year I noticed about a year or two ago they were starting to look for C++ programmers and I started putting two and two together. Of course, many put too much focus on the engine. At the end of the day it's just a framework and you plug your own bits into it. Workflows are largely similar.

Interesting to get that confirmation a lot of isssues are at fault of TrueBlu e. g communication

When they make a next gen game, please take a 2 years minimum. I didnt like that the first comment was graphical power, there's more to new hardware than that.

Would have liked to know more about the gameplay. What have they changed about the AI? Have they moved passed the one on one's? Tackling, will they make it more realistic instead of just the unrealistic grab and fall (Live 1 had this problem, too)? Will there be gang tackles for the first time ever in a Football game? Will the movement be more fluid, ie passing the ball? Are there collisions? Those types of things would be more interesting to know.

The new consoles might end up beating this game to release at this rate.

Interesting that he said coach mode has been worked on more

Despite it being obvious the game will not be out for the start of the season still no communication from TruBlu or WW about it at all.

Another screenshot. Mainly to promote the release date.

Such a cringey post on their facebook page. With some interviews from Cripps and a few others. No details on what features are in, no screenshots or gameplay footage.
Also with the cover why can't they do what the NFL does with Madden and have a fan competition to decide who's on the front? Would give the game a bit of hype and stay in people's minds before release.
I have very low expectations from this game and the lack of promotion, makes me think so do the developers.

Would ya really count the wii game? Like 4 people bought that lol.

i only recently realised this existed. or i knew years ago but forgot. what a cool novelty, is that like the third AFL game on a nintendo console over like 3 decades? would be cool to own them all. and yes i'm including that 'mascot manor' shit on DS

Could see the appeal to owning all the games in physical form, would be a rather unique collection. If I recall correctly, AFL Live on the WII was the port for AFL Live 2 on consoles, hence why AFL Live 2 was such a mess on console.

Looks decent
