I hope everyone understands that there will most-likely be a ton of bugs that won't be addressed until the day-one patch, that probably won't be released until the 16th (or whenever the digital release is happening).

Please take that into account when you (inevitably) rip it to shreds

Yeah this has happened with other games that broke street date before. As far as PSN and XBL are concerned "Day 1" is still April 16.

I like the specky button but not liking some of the clunky marking animations like the 1 handed one. I hope the 1 handed mark doesn't happen every 3 marks

The animations look the same as Evo 1 in terms of marking, but the actual system and gameplay has drastically improved.

Love that when Walters marked it said "Mid-Fwd". Although it probably didn't change how they played, it annoyed me playing someone in the middle when their position said forward pocket

Marking looks amazing! The spoiling system looks perfect! And the brace option could be so good. Like a gamble - if you’re sure you’re in the right spot, you can lock it in, but you’ve gotta get there first, and commit.

Had a big assignment to submit tonight, then was gonna enjoy Evo 2 all day tomorrow. It's a shame the assignment is gonna have to wait now

All the clips, that have full gameplay, show hectic running.
I did like that when there’s a contest on the flank, a large group stayed away, and waited to see who came up with the ball.

Hopefully fatigue will slow it down and create more “looseness” as matches wear on, but even if not, the running speed slider (if still there) could really change the way gameplay is played, with a slower speed leading to less 36 man packs and hecticness (But obviously still some packs).

Just hope there’s options to chose between a possession type gameplay, or running, and either down the middle, wings, both or switching
(switching almost was never possible last game as guys didn’t auto setup for it by getting free, so by the time you found someone, it was covered off/too slow)

Yeah that looks horrid. Like Steve Smith out there taking one handers. Shouldn't be happening in an AFL game.

Having said that, thank Godra that they fixed that absolute dog's breakfast of a marking system from the last game. Looks much better this time around. Love that they've added a brace option too, far too many times in Live and Evo you'd get front/prime spot and be outmarked by someone coming in late. The marking actually looks really good (apart from those ridiculous one handers).

Just rang my local EB (Northland in Melbourne) and they confirmed they are selling it today. Just waiting for the stock to come in which should be in the next hour

Same, my WA retailer don't have stock yet... hopefully it comes later today to be delivered by tomorrow
