I see 2 players by themselves without a hard tag. There’s some potential here after all

I recognize those terrible animation movements, like the Hawk player running in the front perspective on a balance. Also, notice the one on one's they seemingly can't do without. Exactly 2 Hawks, and 2 Kangaroo players in the pack mark, and 1 Hawk, 1 Kangaroo player standing around it.

Are there bonus teams in this?

Not sure yet mate. The only announcements we've had so far are on their facebook (https://www.facebook.com/AFLEvolution/) :

September 2018 - Media release saying the game will come out in 2019. AFLW, VFL, SANFL, WAFL, NEAFL in it (so maybe there's no special teams). MARS Stadium, TIO Traeger and Blundstone also in it. Anthony Hudson & Gary Lyon to commentate.

October 2018- Behind scene shots of each team getting their pictures taken

February 2019 - Video of Huddo attempting to commentate

March 2019 - Screenshots of the new stadiums and crowd sounds video. Intro videos for Round 1 showing the captains. Video released of the day/night cycle

April 2019 - Pendlebury, Kennedy, De Goey and Shuey announced as cover stars

5 May 2019- Announcement of UNREAL engine and delay to second half of year

1 August - Announcement of Nov/Dec projected release and free 2020 DLC for early adopters

2 August - Random ingame screenshots of Haw vs NM and GWS vs Syd

Christmas
It's understandable that they would think they may be more likely to attract buys with a November/December release as a result of Christmas sales; however, this also means they'll be competing with a multitude of other popular titles, and at that point of the year AFL is a long way from many people's minds.

Honestly the create a player in this is robust enough that they should leave special teams to the community. It's one real strength of the last game.

Getting people on the AFL payroll to promote the game, conflict of interest no? Understand they've got to market it but jayzuz, could've just had WW show the game off with AFL players or even ya know... the people that made the game that could give us a decent insight as to what's new?

Regardless, hopefully we get something soon... hopefully.

'Sneak Peak' of players sitting on a couch with WW poster in background.

What a game changer!

Caden McDonalds thoughts on the game: similar game but better.
Improvements:
Tackling
Marking
Set shots a bit weird but better
Moving through stoppages
Graphics, player likenesses
Team intros.

From what they said no one at wicked witch wanted it put out in November, December. By the time of the release, the draft and trade period will be done and teams will be out of date.

The "tour around footy clubs and record video of them playing the game" marketing strategy is the most ****ing hokey, nothing bullshit. Just show us some gameplay vids or a trailer or something. Get some promotional spots on AFL shows prior to the finals. Even if the game isn't coming out for a few months, you could use such opportunities to build hype and get people informed.

why would you release the game in December?

I have no idea how True Blue are able to stay in business. They've got no idea.
Not just this release date. The drip feed of information leading up to releases is pathetic. No trailer until a few weeks before release is unacceptable in 2019 (or ever)

They seemingly don't care about their products, but somehow they're still in business. They're a strange company.

It would seem they possess an insecurity or lack of confidence about their own product. With these AFL games, they rarely release any real information or footage until right before the game releases, which indicates they're more afraid of such details warding people off people buying than compelling people to buy it. The idea of an AFL game is more of a selling point than whatever product they're actually making. We saw the same pattern with Evolution, which was just a lot of teasing and speculation based on scant info and footage, leading to a disappointing release, and so the fact they're doing it again doesn't bode well for this iteration.

They're literially the only publishing house in Australia. That's what's keeping it in business. Without them, There are no publishers over here and pretty much kills the chances for any AFL Games unless the AFL and Big Ant work out a deal again? I don't know.

But I think I know why they aren't so great with releases. They're owned by Home Entertainment Suppliers. HES for short. They mainly sell Third Party Game Controllers and make deals with other Third Party Game Controller Makers to sell their Third Party Game Controllers here. Their website is a bit out of date but from what I can see. They have/had deals with HORI (Fight Stick Makers and Maker of Licenced Nintendo Accessories), Thustmaster (Racing Wheel Makers), Playmax, Fanatec (More Racing Wheels), Datel (The Makers of the Action Replay), R4 Fightsticks, Saitek, Playseat and the now defunct Mad Catz.

Honestly, Why I think they don't promote their products well for Tru Blu is that, I don't think they have a marketing team. Their business is pretty much that they are importer first, publisher second. In fact, I think all the marketing has to be done by the group they've licenced and the developers with their approval and because they are according to LinkedIn, A company with 11-50 employees. It honestly makes too much sense that they would be terrible with Pre-Launch stuff with that info I've just put out.

It honestly explains why it's piss poor for every game they put out.
