AFL live one had competition with AFL WiiIt doesn’t phase me that he laughed at my response at all. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion (clearly shown with the thread turning its focus to this topic) but still Ross won’t comment on Evo 2, speaks volumes like he says. AFL Live 1 was only as good as it was because it was that or no footy game at all. Evolution 1 wasn’t as fun as Live but to me Evolution 2 is the best game we’ve gotten especially because of sliders available. Again, my opinion![]()

AFL Wii was nothing like live 1. It’s almost identical to live 2 though.I don't think that counts. Wii never competed with other consoles. It was on its own market of casuals and families. (not saying thats bad). From memory it was a port of the engine of live anyway which big ant supported them with.

I couldn't find a casual game ( I think that's what it was called) but I found a ranked game within a few minutes.Anyone else having trouble finding an opponent for an online match? Surely it’s not my internet because I’ve tried everything. Just curious if I’m not the only one

Great post.WW were incredibly upfront that they were releasing this early due to Covid - to give us all a footy fix and something to do!
They repeatedly said it was an early version and a patch (patches) would be coming out.
They released a few patches last game, and they DIRECTLY addressed almost all of the communities issues. There was even a rep/employee on here who liased eith, and took our feedback.
Personally, as someone stood down at work, and with no footy on, I’d much prefer the option they’ve gone of releasing a rouh around the edges game, max opposed to sitting around waiting until they got it in a much better condition.
So if you aren’t happy with the current, “pre-release” product, why not simply stop playing, either return it or wait, and see what the first patch brings? Where is the harm in that?
It might also stop the certain few sooks in here whinging on and on “worst game ever blah blah blah” - feedback is great, and we as a community can see where WW need to improve things in their patches, but if you wanna whinge, just return or wait. Put the control and keyboard down!
Edit: an idea - since WW don’t seem to have any support outside of FB nuffiesville, would there be any interest if I were to whip up a simple website, where people could list their bugs and suggestions, and then everyone can vote/rank their importance? Hopefully WW would pay attention to that direct and clear feedback.
Edit 2: I see BallaratBulldog laughed at this post, but being one of the impatient brigade, thought I’d remind them that WW were very clear that this was an early pre-release to help us all out. That almost never happens in the gaming industry, and is something I’m thankful for.

Also pretty symptomatic of 'everyones opinion is important' these days, just went and YouTube a Fifa is broken video and there's 1000s upon 1000s of comments and examples saying EA suck at making games and pointing out every single glitch.
No matter how good something is there will always be some fat loser on his basement who gets joy out of hating something and writing the word 'cringe'

What?
You know they didn't "rush the game out early" right? The game was deemed completed and submitted to Microsoft and Sony like all games, which is why is was hard to get the digital release moved up because they would've had to go through Sony and Microsoft to do so.
This is what we were getting first up regardless of whether it was released early or not so this "pre-release" garbage is just that, garbage.
Outside of BAP being a disaster the game is enjoyable once you adjust the sliders but there are far too many obvious things that should not have made it through any portion of competent testing.
Ever heard of a day 1 patch? The digital release was locked in for the 23rd April. They then brought this forward a week to 16th.
They then released the physical version, and managed to bring forward the digital release date again to a few days ago.
So effectively, they’ve had more than 2 weeks less to get a day 1 patch prepared (we are still 12 days off the original release date).
I can’t think of too many games that don’t have a day 1 patch.
So give them a break - they pumped it out ASAP for our benefit (the non-whingers amongst us), and told you that it was an early release.
Come back and whinge on the 23rd if there’s no patch out by then. (Not you specifically, but the sooks who have the impatience of a 2 year old)
Also fmd but team selection is more of a hassle then it should be. We got this back in 2003 ffs just have the whole lineup visible in one page.
I'm not even sure what they're trying to do here with the multiple page team management ...Also fmd but team selection is more of a hassle then it should be. We got this back in 2003 ffs just have the whole lineup visible in one page.
Tactics are bare bones and you can’t really choose how your team plays. Like what if I want my forwards to hold there positions and have numbers when I kick there? Or what if I want everyone out and the full forward isolated in a one on one? What if I want the stoppages more congested or what if I want more release players on the outside? I can’t really choose any of that which makes most games feel the same tactically. You can’t really choose how high your team presses up the field or deep it defends. Nor are there any tactics for specific players.
