Here's a list I have so far of feedback and bugfix list, feel free to comment on anything you want added before eventually sent to WW. Will change some wording. This is from this thread and I assume is correct. One or two may be in a odd category when I moved some around. Even so far is a good enough list to be sent though

Camera
-Doesn’t follow flow of play well on all settings.
-Should move after a mark.
-You can't have the camera zoomed too far out or the graphics start cutting out. Any zoom less than about thirty and I start getting regular half seconds of black screen during gameplay.

AI
-AI player was trying to move forward, but it was like the AI was trying to move in front of an invisible wall. This was when the AI was trying to take a free kick.
-AI tends to randomly kick out on the full
-Rubber banding is a silly in some regard – kicking goals on boundary from 50m+ odd meters
when the defender kicking in plays on and runs along the boundary so you get ready for a long kick outside 50 near the boundary only the AI player to kick it at a 75degree angle directly Infront of goal to a pack of players 20m away from the goal or on the full – not realistic
-AI switching in defence and decide to go to a 2 on 1 disadvantage
-AI missing from the goal square
Ruck does one contest then the midget replaces him in the ruck for every contest after that and the AI runs the ball out of the middle the same way every time.
-AI runs through the mark; I don't get 50. (or rather they shouldn’t be running through the mark)
-Just had the AI standing next to the goal post while my team was kicking in from a point, he played on and got instantly tackled by the guy standing next to the goal post.

Sound
-Kick a goal in the GF I want to hear a huge roar. And enough of the chants after every goal!
-The moan when an away goal is kicked is terrible – smaller roar or booooo from home side depending on context
-While playing another team for example Syndey, Freo chant started up every time I kicked a goal
-Saying things like (paraphrase) from Gary Lyon “not playing for one another, that’s why they are losing” when they are dominating and other out of context clips triggered
-Commentary should have just recorded the same statement over including the team names rather than clipping it + when you're putting lines together rather than just saying them whole it's always going to be average.

Gameplay
-When the ball is stuck on the ground and nobody can pick it up. Must give away a free to get the game going again.
-Maybe they could introduce a mechanic where you push R1 and kick and the game will automatically try and kick to the most open player in front of you.
-Tactics are still limited in actual influence on game being played
-You can't change the default quarter length from 2.5 minutes. Every exhibition game I must manually set it.
-You can't change the default kick in player and second ruckman in the role’s menu. Every exhibition game I must manually set it.
-The first ruck only seems to spend about 50% of time on ground. I spent most of my last game with Dixon in the ruck, Tom Rockliff at full forward and Lycett on the bench.
-Players don’t lead
-Controls clunky - Pressing Y to mark, tackle & dump kick is silly. It can be very difficult to tell who has the ball sometimes, so I’m trying to tackle, and I dump kick. I try to mark, and I dump kick. It’d fine if I could change control layouts, but you are forced to cop the default layout.
-The other downside is it doesn't pause when switching. This has caused me to handball/kick in the wrong direction on more than one occasion. I haven't fiddled with Movement Speed yet as I don't know what it does.
-Giving away frees for charging is becoming super frustrating, can’t use any body due to the risk of giving away a free half the time. That and giving away frees for throwing the ball, when you’ve kicked it 50 metres while being tackled.
-Players fend of 3 tackles in a row far too often.
-Kicked to a player who I thought was making a lead. Turns out he was sprinting to the bench and had no intention of getting the ball and it goes right through him and his opponent and out for a throw in.
-Would like the ability to chip it around
-Slow game down
-People still feel it’s a tackle fest
-Long kicks, hack kicks using the triangle button Perhaps too easy
-Framerate tends to drop badly
-Player switching and time it takes to get control needs some real improvement
-Set shots are way, way too easy.
-Players just stand around sometimes with the ball there

Pro mode\Coach Career
-Created character is selected for both Vic sides. The game things I am Metro on the menu. Game thinks I am Metro on the ground. Camera thinks I am Country. So, I can control my player from the view of someone else.
-If you call for the ball in be a pro mode, and they face the boundary, it will be kicked out on the full
-Playing in a lot of positions such has half back flank is frustrating to get ball from AI
- With a career with Dangerfield, at Round 10 he suddenly disappeared from the team roster, now I can’t make changes to the team either
-Game froze in be a pro season when there were 3 mins left, I got subbed and just clicked finish match and it just hung for about 2 minutes
-Kicks are marked by the opposition all the time or are my teammates bad (unsure)
-My coach career keeps crashing (error code CE-34878-0 when I try to go into team manager. Tried closing and reopening the app 3 times.
-Too many injuries at the start of career (Getting 5-6 week injuries every game)

Players
-Players like Gawn is the size of Caleb Daniel
-Players ratings need adjusting.
-Players positions need adjusting.
-A lot of editing options are not there for woman (I think that can do equal or more damage to message then to what it might be trying to prevent)
-Nic Newman kept ending up as a main ruckman. I went to team management and thought I got him out of there and Kruezer back there but later in another game he back there and when went in to change him it shows restriction and cannot move him out of that position.
-A user spent hours on some of the lists fixing player ratings, positions and team line-ups. Only to have 2 Eric Hipwoods pop up (1 replacing Allen Christensen) and multiple players wearing the same number on the field.

Online
-Finding matches is a big issue for casual
-Ranked should NOT be using 99 custom teams or certain presents that are extremely strong. Otherwise everyone just plays the OP team.
-Extreme lag

Other
-Make a classic seasons and history mode like (live 2004?) where you replay classics
-As an example, Sydney fans massively outnumbered Eagles fans even though it was at Optus.
-People are getting a issue where the corners of the game are getting cut off. Half the time is missing etc. (note: It could be peoples tv\overscan and without HUD Overdraw Mode on).
-view a player’s attributes in team management? How am I supposed to know who to put on the wings and flanks etc. It doesn't even show their height.
-Robotic\unsmooth animations

That is absolutely not competition, 2 different games on 2 different platforms. AFL Live 1 was built up like FIFA solely because it was the only AFL game on that generation of console at the time. It still was overhyped like half the people on here have attested to.
AFL live 1 is hyped up the way it is because it was the best AFL game that’s come out until this year.

Also nice initiative on the crowd sounds and chants I’ll give them that. But they’re shit. Not sure I’ve ever heard Collingwood fans sing their themesong during a game. Also it sounds like only two people max are singing it. Then the actuall “Coooooolliiiingwoooood“ chant is way too quite.

FYI I’ve been private messaging the guys on Facebook. Seems the best way to pass on bugs to them is to record/screenshot the problems, then be succinct in the descriptions, so I’d recommend that for anything you’ve listed.
 
The meter for kick for goal is really primitive they took straight from the PS2 titles. In real life, you can boot the ball as hard as you can and it can still be accurate. They should have made the goal kick around how you ball drop onto your foot and your run up technique. Kinda cheap and lazy to make it a meter system.

I have no issues with this angle.

Would love the crowd to build excitement as the ball travels towards the goal in the air if it’s a decent shot.
Then a big ‘awwww’ if it hits the post, or a massive ‘yeah’ if it goes through.
-Commentary should have just recorded the same statement over including the team names rather than clipping it + when you're putting lines together rather than just saying them whole it's always going to be average.
I like it, but would mean a LOT of repetition for recording the audio from Huddo.
Maybe something they start building a repository on for future games...

It’s part of any game. Too zoomed in (or zoomed out and showing the crowd) renders more on polygons on the screen, and graphics processing takes a hit, so the framerate lags.
Only option is to make the game look worse to keep the framerate high.

Confirmed this Overdraw Mode fixes the problem.
 
Also pretty symptomatic of 'everyones opinion is important' these days, just went on a YouTube Fifa is broken video and there's 1000s upon 1000s of comments and examples saying EA suck at making games and pointing out every single glitch.

No matter how good something is there will always be some fat loser in his basement who gets joy out of hating something and writing the word 'cringe'
EA don't even make the best Soccer games, Konami superseded them years ago.
 
Negatives
The ******* camera, doesn’t matter which setting you pick there’s something wrong with it. Most of those could be fixed if you had the option to move the camera once you’ve taken a mark.
I think this is a consequence of using a side to side camera. If you can only see 25 metres in front of you, what else are you meant to do?

Interested to know if others have tried out this camera angle that I’ve been harping on about.
Seems the best of both worlds for me... but has anyone else tried it to see what they think?!?!

Best Camera: Play Direction

Let’s you play kinda side on, but slightly angled in the direction of the in-possession team’s goals to see leads up the ground.
(‘Dynamic’ angles in direction of goals that the ball is in, which sucks coming out of defence)

On ‘Play Direction’, I go with:
Distance: Far
Zoom: 55
Height: 55
And so it’s not too disorienting,
Rotation Speed: 30
Movement Speed: 30

A few things on career mode / pro mode
-Being a bit picky here but would be nice to be able to change the oppositions jersey in career mode. Getting kind of annoying having Home games when the jerseys are clashing and there's nothing to do to change the oppositions kit.
- Also would be nice to be able to view stats in pro career properly. I want to know how many AFL games and goals I have scored across how many clubs with how many premierships. Not how many wins and losses I have accumulated since u18s and in the 2s.
- Jersey numbers in pro mode. It's 2022 and for some reason a large number of crows players have numbers in the 70s and 80s. I'm stuck with my 47 too so it would be nice to also be able to change to a free number.
- Also have no clue what happened over the off season but Brodie Smith, Ben Davis and Rory Sloane are the only 2021 crows that remain on the list. Something needs to be fixed here. This was in pro mode.

I hear you, will go into more detail when it gets sent and try to support at lest what ive seen personally. But as a bigfooty complication that’s pretty difficult.

in regards to the camera post of yours, while thats good if you have found a great setting the issue is that a player needs to find the best setting spending a decent time editing themselves. does the target audience do this or care? I would be doubting it. I do expect bigfooty to tinker due to passion and desire but not sure everyone else. Is there a point to the other settings if there is the takeway that they aren't any good and not putting time to to change it?
At lest if there are sliders that people think are best they should be the default.

On the framerate, it depends on if its as optimised as possible. But I personally think framerate is more important than the graphics and if someone wants that it they should be allowed to lower still rather than sutter. I also play on PC and am used to that.

framerate sutters even without the zoom during gameplay so definitely something to be worked on there I think.

Here is some fluff and not-so-fluff things I'd like to see in future:

- Introduce into BAP the Under 18 equivalent comps for WA (WAFL Colts) and SA (SANFL U18), so can have a more authentic Rookie career experience as a kid starting career outside of Victoria. Even if fictional teammates still, its a more authentic narrative for all major footy states then.
- Docklands roof to be closed if rain predicted or set - and if rain set - then default Wind to Nil during play at docklands. (and obviously rain set to Nil too)
- ANZAC round & Indigenous round themed match intros.
- Scrap "2nd ruck", in favour of having three (3) secondary ruck options, one for each of the FW/CT/BK thirds/zones of the field ...
of course then if you want, you can still set the same player to be 2nd ruck in all 3 zones on field?
---- if thats too complicated however... introduce a '3rd ruck' + '4th ruck' option to increase chances you at least get a player you actually want in the ruck in general (surely one of em will be on the ground!).

People saying WW said this was a pre release version. Where did they say that? The only time I heard that mentioned was on that YouTube premier of that YouTube playing the game where he said he was playing an earlier version, nothing to do with us playing an early version.
 
Just copped a glitch online. Took a mark 25m out and as my goal was sailing through the other player bumped my guy off the ball. Instead of giving me the goal of gave me a 50m penalty. But then the other player just kept doing it over and over, which never allowed me to kick the goal and eventually placed my player over the goal line and I was unable to control him. The remaining 40 seconds ran off the clock and the half ended with me unable to kick the goal.

I ended up losing by 4 pts...

I heard it from my friends cousins mothers grandpas uncle who works at Wicked witch.

Not pre-release, but an early release, which most likely means we have a longer wait until any planned “day 1” patch. Had this been released as planned on the 23rd April, more than likely there would have been an auto-downloaded patch (like so many other games have), and many of these issues would have never been seen.

I don't think that counts. Wii never competed with other consoles. It was on its own market of casuals and families. (not saying thats bad). From memory it was a port of the engine of live anyway which big ant supported them with.

Their Wii version of AFL Live was a port of their own Mobile/PSP games - Big Ant have never supplied them with any code, only animation/art assets. That's why the animation from all of their game is reminiscent of the PS3 AFL Live, it's the PS3 animation.* The MCG is the same base model as the PS3 one as well, because we made an error where there is a bay missing in the Members, noticeable because the benches are too close together - they did add a standing room between the fence and the seats though.*

A few things on career mode / pro mode

Massively agree here, I went to the trouble of creating a few custom teams (St Kilda, North, Port, Lions) so I could use all the awesome designs people have made but I can’t even choose what they wear

Do you know why they couldn't use the entirety of Live 1 to make a sequel? Was that ever an option? Because I think they used Rugby Challenge 2 made by Sidhe to make Challenge 3.

Hahaha, sounds like that trick they do to catch copycats by passing out misinformation...
Although this wasn’t misinformation being ‘stolen’... just saying that’s a funny way to know they’re still using your original asset.

We have never allowed third parties to have our code, despite what people say here, the AI from AFL Live one was made in conjunction with AFL assistant coaches and is significant IP.

Sidhe moved to making mobile games and so did a deal where the RC2 code was able to be used by WW for RC3.

Then after a few minutes it changes again and they do random shit like kicking it out on the full under no pressure. Let the game be and if I'm winning comfortably I can up the difficulty.

Enjoying the rest of the game but finding that really frustrating. Sliders don't seem to affect this period.

To be fair, this is the NBA Jam / Mario Kart style of rubber banding, if you use it as a tactic it's far more enjoyable - lead from the back and have come from behind wins.
