How about soccer finish their summer sort of sport or whatever they call it not in May! They even played through the CWC! Shorten the season you fruitcakes!

AFL better not bend down again, as it is they bent over for some silly Asian Cup thing.

It's not anything to do with rules we choose to play our home games at the MCG against bigger clubs because we get a big enough crowd to make money.

Clubs dont pick where the finals are, the AFL does. dems da rules.

North wanted to earn more money by playing a game in Perth a while back & the AFL said no, da rules again.

You seem to be saying you get special treatment .... you arent on your own !

Get the opportunity to play our HOME games in Melbourne. Our actual home ground is in Geelong. That's not opinion it's fact.

no you don't the AFL decides all Finals venues and at what times they're on, in fact the AFL is contractually obligated to play X amount of finals at the MCG and Etihad.

The AFL made an exemption which was why Geelong played an extra game at Etihad the following season.

Melbourne Victory should host it at Bellerive - isn't that where all Vic clubs host their finals nowadays?

Oh,that WA bitterness is still bubbling along nearly 3 weeks later.
How about your team finish on top for once and you'd have nothing* to moan about ?

* EDIT - WA fans always find something to moan about

Hopefully a compromise can be reached for the sake of dual AFL A-League members like myself if Melbourne host it. This is the FFAs fault though.

AFL Fans: LOL ALeague bitching about wanting the venue we have the booking deal with it

AFL Fans Round 1 2014: OMG why are there no games at the MCG this is a joke who cares about cricket having the booking we want it kick them out
Except cricket at that time (shield final) gets a crowd less than a classroom. At least a league draws a crowd.

With an impasse seemingly on the cards, could the AFL assist the FFA in order for both matches to be held at the venue? Or allow the FFA to use the MCG on the Friday night of that round whilst Essendon and North Melbourne play at Etihad themselves.

Or could that Essendon home game be moved to the MCG for the Friday night, allowing the FFA to have the A-League grand final there.
The FFA have actually got the MCG booked for the friday night of Essendon vs North Melbourne at Etihad. They only want to use it if it's an all Melbourne derby Grand Final.

the western bulldogs are entitled to have a home game as much as Essesdon. probably should push for whitten oval. its only a national competition or maybe windy hill

One would have liked for the soccer people to have had some advanced warning of this terrible thing.

Or they may have known last October and now have the soccer journeys carrying on like Coleman or Barrasi came back and did it to them deliberately.

what? the A-league asked for the game to be on the 10th, the AFL said right grounds yours between the 8th-10th.
some weeks or months later (depending on who you talk to) The A-league turned around and said, *! no! s**t! there's this whole asia cup thing, we need it on the 17th. the AFL said yeah look we've booked it we put together a fixture worked out what games will be on, where they will be held, when they will be held and who would be broadcasting it. We cant give you that date because we'd have to rework everything to fix you're incompetence.

Good to see Kwality is being consistent here. Like in the case of the seemingly annual September rugby test at Subiaco, a contract is a contract so whoever booked first gets the venue...
