I wouldn't even consider McAsey at the likely cost.

Not with Reid and Brand taken last draft and with Stewart the linchpin for the next few years. Ridley and Francis are also there in similar positions. McBride is on the list.

If we want another tall to develop there will be a cheaper project out there.

Man, what is with the crows and losing their key backs?
Lever, Davis, Bock and potentially McAsey... must do their head in.

They keep trying to draft people from interstate, what do they expect?
Davis played for North Adelaide in juniors, Bock for Woodville West Torrens

Realistic OOC players I would currently consider, for where our list is at:

Bailey Banfield
Brett Bewley
Charlie Constable
Cooper Stephens
Malcolm Rosas
Nick Shipley
Will Walker
Riley Bonner
Ben Ronke

Probably could have had Banfield last year when he got delisted and re-rookied but these guys fill positions that we need, and are relatively young.

Why? It's good to see bottom clubs gaining talent that is ready to go for the next season. Makes the competition far more interesting.
Martin went from GCS to the Blues.

PSD should be 2nd chance saloon for players. Not a facilitator of moves where a buying club can offer nothing.
Say North target Parish this season and offer us a 5th rd pick tops...

I'd prefer Carlton to remain s**t, but it makes the season more interesting to see whether they will improve with some mature talent.

North take Parish and we go out and use the salary cap room to target someone else. Who gives a toss?

so now we need to do 2 trades...
and possibly spread some covid in victoria. :p

saying the right things, though something tells me he will stay put.

English Dunkley Bont
Macrae Smith Treloar

he fits in nicely enough there

No, you just listed 5 inside mids

With no Libba
I knew someone was missing.

I hate it when people list two inside mids with one outside quality on the wing. That isn't how it works.

Is Treloar inside? I always thought he was an outside player, getting the uncontested ball.
Gets plenty of inside ball. Averaged 8+ CP for the pies iirc

EDIT: averaged 10+ every year outside his first two

40/60 CP/UP split over his career. One of those that can player either it seems.

Yep, Macrae is also more of an accumulator than an inside mid. Covers a stack of ground and gets a lot of ball in a similar way to Stanton and Heppell.

In reality, it's a better balance for the side to have Bont wreaking havoc from half forward with Dunkley even being the number 1 inside mid, in terms of time on ball. You could even call Bont in this role the "striker" that King and Montagna are talking about, though it's more of a forward playmaker than a striker because it relies on the striker (i.e. the key forwards) to absorb most of the heat. It really is staggering how much space teams afford Dusty.

It gets the most out of both players and adds a marking target it always seems like the Dogs will need inside 50. Josh Bruce is not exactly going to strike fear into the hearts of his opponents.

Naughton, English and JUH supported by Bont? FMD that looks good. Just needs to be rounded out with some smalls.

Last night showed that the dogs mids all can work together. Question would be for the dogs is do they cash in on one while there is so much depth in the midfield to bolster another area. Probably depends whether Dunks actually requests a trade again. He played well even though he started on the pine and him and Treloar are besties now. Will be interesting to see. Doubt the dogs can/will match the money that will be thrown at him

2021 and beyond. If he can help it, he ain't going anywhere.

Now, Flanders watch...

Flanders can’t even get a game at the suns. He’s lazy and had a bad attitude. And isn’t even as good as he thinks he is.
Like Caldwell, and Constable. They need/ed opportunities too.

Who was Flanders behind last year? They brought in Greenwood didn't they? ...and Rowell, and Anderson. I can understand his unhappiness. Maybe we can land him reasonably cheaply. I'd be happy to have Flanders.... or Constable :)

Only cooper stephens on that list have a reasonable chance of being above average
seriously
I disagree. Seriously.
