Wait 6 months for footy and then get a piss weak four game weekend.

Not a great start, Andy D 2.0
Looks like AD models on Scotty from Marketing!

All about NRL/Long weekend in Vic. Bit of a slap in the face for the powerbase that is Vic fans.

Just seems a bit of an anti-climax for the opener IMO.

Also be interesting to see how they organise those 8 clubs bye...

Jesus. That fixture is brutal.

We travel interstate 4 times in our first 8 weeks.

Sydney, Port, Adelaide, and then West Coast.

Then we have to travel again in Round 12, and then don't leave Melbourne until Round 24 when we play Brisbane at the Gabba.

... That's the first time we play them all year. Round 24. Bizarre.

Since Essendon haven't posted a nice easy to read version yet

So we are interstate every second week until round 9 ... I can't recall that happening before for that stretch of time for us. But only 1 interstate trip after the bye is nice

Double ups are pretty simple.

Collingwood - tough, but usually not bad against them (and the second game is way before the possibility of a collapse).
Gold Coast - Generally play well against them and have had their measure for quite some time
St Kilda - Again not a scary side
Adelaide - Have had their measure for quite some time
Sydney - Generally always close games
West Coast - Don't need to say much.

Much better than the likes of Port, Geelong, Bulldogs and Brisbane where we can pencil in two certain losses.

That first 7 rounds though. Ouch.

You’d think because we were one of two unlucky clubs to draws a SA club in gather round we’d avoid SA again …yet we’re back two weeks later!
Yep. They could have at least done it back to back. w***ers.
