Player Watch #4: Aidan Corr

North Melbourne’s player exodus won’t deter GWS Giants’ Aidan Corr from joining the club in massive show of faith in the club’s list rebuild.
The Roos have targeted Corr for months to help bolster the club’s key backline but could let go as many as 14 players in an extraordinary move to rejuvenate the list.

Stars Shaun Higgins, Ben Brown and Jared Polec could all be out the door, prompting speculation Corr could get cold feet and consider a move to Hawthorn.

But the Herald Sun has confirmed Corr, 26, won’t do a backflip on his intention to join North Melbourne and will accept a long-term deal to start a new chapter in blue and white.

Great stuff

If true it’s definitely the type of character we want at the club moving forward.

For sure, and you'd have to guess the confirmation can only have come from the Corr camp.

We're gonna have a lot of fun with these pissy little FB rumour pages this post season.

But about 8 posts ago he was pirouetting like Nureyev himself 🙃

Somebody made mention yesterday of "know it all knobs" and he'll definitely be a Hawk. Won't be the first kneejerk reactions we see across the next month.

We have some nervous Nelly supporters. Probably gunshy after tattooing Gaff's face on their arse in blue and white ink.

How much?

I have no guidance on this at all.
Well the Giants Recruiting manager said they were hoping to get a second rounder for him. I'd say the contact is around 500k for 3-4 years.

Excellent. The young bloke has honor and character. He's already ticked the first box.

So we going to believe this part of the article and just disregard the rest as crap?

None of the article should really be disregarded as crap.

They confirm Corr will accept our deal. Not hypothesise, confirm.

We are set to be low balled on offers.

Sources probably did say he's worth a second or third rounder. They've been saying it for a month.

Even the Higgins stuff is realistic, Geelong won't start the ball rolling with anything of deeper value than a third rounder.

I agree, it's strong because it sets Corr up as a liar if it's incorrect, and the HUN would come out looking REALLY bad if that occurred.

It's like "let's bag the hell out of journalists" for lying, yet when same people say a North positive lock it in, great news etc etc
The rest of the article was on point, plus it's not as unbelievable as say 'North is broke' or Melbourne may like Brown but I feel the Saints like him more'.

That article maybe but it's very inconsistent in how posters bag journalists if it doesn't suit them then take as gospel it's positive for North.

That won't be an exclusive reaction for North posters.

Some people are simpletons who broadly categorize everything in A or B files.

Some aren't.

The simpletons tend to try and pull the bright ones down by their ankles to their level of intellect.
