Re: All 2008 dream team questions here please (or else!!).

will palmer score well and play the majority of the season? or would a travis tuck be a better option even though palmer is 40 grand cheaper

Tucks going to get more games I reckon as Harvey's made it clear he wants Palmer to cycle through the WAFL a bit, though it might get harder to drop Palmer if he continues to be one of our best mids:confused: . If you're looking for a bench player then Palmer is good value, if you need a more consistent 'on the field' player, then I reckon tuck.

Just my $0.02.

Seconded.

Then again, Tuck (much like Osborn maybe?) isn't a completely safe option either since four of their gun mids were initially out... Points may be a little inflated.

Re: All 2008 dream team questions here please (or else!!).

i have crowley in my sc team, im not sure why i chose him, just thought he had scope for improvement under harvs. hasnt done too well yet, should i dump him now?

Re: All 2008 dream team questions here please (or else!!).

Afternoon guys, just a quick question about Dodd, is he worth placing in the backline for sc?

He costs $424k. Thanks in advance and good luck against the pies, i think your the value bet of the round so im jumping on board!

I rate Dodd highly as a backman, but I don't see him getting heaps of points. He's more of a negater

Well that'll be the last time I give advice for super coach . The last three games he's scored 121, 106 and 105 tonight. His price will probably jump 50K

Just thought you guys might like to know that next year the BigFooty Club Boards will compete in both Dream Team and Supercoach for a perpetual trophy. Those who have participated in a BigFooty DT (or SC) League will most likely get precedence over walk ins.

Do your club proud by representing them in the DT or SC leagues. Build your way up the rankings to help get yourself selected and come in next year with all the experience and skill needed to help win the comp.

From another poster, which is more appropriate in this thread (I was gonna ask the same questions...)\

IBBO

Thinking of adding this guy to my Dream Team. His last two weeks have been good, especially against Geelong.

Will Harvey keep him in the team all year, or will he just use him when necessary.

Why did he miss rounds 3 and 4, was he dropped or injured?

Thoughts, comments appreciated.

i picked him up last week, before his price went up. stoked with the decision, he went up 44k after last round

picked up 99 last week against geelong, though will probably settle in as a 60-70 pt kind of guy I reckon. Good benchie to have

Kepler Bradley

Hi Freo Supporters,

Can you tell me about Kepler Bradleys game on Sunday? I did not see any of the game but I notice he had good stats. How did he actually play? Was he any good? Will he continue to get a game?
In other words, will he be a good investment in a Dreamteam-style competition?

Cheers.

I think people get mad if you ask DT questions in new threads as there is already a DT thread. Bradley will play again going on the usual freo selection policy of youngsters playing good = you get a game next week. He has improved out of sight since when I saw him in the preseason, runs a bit better and looks to have more confidence. Hard to see how he will go over the coming weeks in a losing team, but should be fairly decent.

Re: All 2008 dream team questions here please (or else!!).

Can I please have a DT perspective on Chris Mayne? How many games are you guys expecting him to play, and what sort of position does he play?

Cheers.

Re: All 2008 dream team questions here please (or else!!).

Chris Mayne should play for the rest of the season, as a small forward. He provides great defensive ability into the Dockers Forward line, especially with Farmer seeming to play further up the ground these days.

Tarquin's got it basically right. He's only missed games basically due to injury. He'll play most games from now on. Having said that, I reckon there might be better DT options out there as he plays fwd pocket and will often fade out of games completely. I'm not doing DT this year, but I'm sure there are more dependable options out there. In the real world football, he's a keeper.:thumbsu:

Re: All 2008 dream team questions here please (or else!!).

I have Chopper (Mayne for all of you who aren't from round here) in my DreamTeam, more because I really like him rather than him being a point scoring machine mind you. I started with him on the bench as a back up in case of injury, but he found his way into my 22 because you can rely on him getting a score of 60 or so every week. Even in a beaten team, he'll get his hands on it. I know that 60 isn't anything too special but I swear I must've been sloshed when I picked my forward line so he was outperforming many of my first choice forwards before he got injured. Back in the 22 this week though.

He is mine as well, maynely for his price. :)

Not too much left to spend when you have Pav, J. Brown, Franklin, Didak and Milne in your forward line, with Roughead and Brashaw in the backline. :thumbsu:

Bradshaw was without a doubt my most inspired selection this year

I'll see your forward line and raise you a Chapman :)thumbsu:), Pavlich :)thumbsu:), Rioli (OK), Hawkins (oops), Nathan Thompson (oops) and Schneider (oops).

Re: All 2008 dream team questions here please (or else!!).

what do all you freo supporters think of Josh Head?

Has he been in the WAFL all year and freo have blooded him, or has he come back from injury?

What type of player is he? Does he dominate games in the WAFL, i.e can he pick up 25+ possies on occassions?

thanks.

Re: All 2008 dream team questions here please (or else!!).

will palmer cop the #1 tag each week (ie ling on saturday) especially now that Belly has retired? Will he be rested at all in the last 7 rounds?

Cheers

I thought the Essendon game was the perfect time to rest Palmer, since he wasn't rested then I doubt he will get a rest this year.

Ling will take Palmer but probably wont put a heavy tag on him, im expecting Ling to try and run off Palmer and score a few goals. In my opinion Palmer is the fittest in our team so it will be interesting to see if Ling can go with him for the entire game.

Ling is fit as hell and if he wants to go with Palmer all day he will do it well, but i doubt he will tag him too heavily, probably enough to stop Palmer from being Freo's best player and enough for him (lingy) to get a fair bit of the ball himself.

I have watched Palmer at each live match and have yet to see a player go with him for extended periods, his gut running is the best I have seen at the Dockers. If Ling goes to him I expect Palmer to spend some time up forward. Im looking forward to see how we go against the best team at their home ground.
