Andrew Brayshaw v Chad Warner

Who is the better player/would you rather have at your club ?

Granted they are not exactly the same type of player, but I wanted to ask this question following a rather convoluted and far fetched trade suggestion on the D and T board.

Brayshaw and it's not particularly close.

Warner has been really down in 2023. He was much better in 2022.

I am hoping whatever his issues were this year he can get back to what he was a year ago in 2024.

Brayshaw on exposed form. Has a league MVP in his back pocket.

I started the Warner vs Newcombe thread on here which I think is a much better comparison and discussion. Poll results are very close as well.

Surprised so many are saying Brayshaw, who can rack up a tonne of possession but I’m not sure he’s hugely damaging with it.

Warner at his best (which I concede he hasn’t been this year) can hurt you with 20 touches, so even with bias aside I’d take him in an instant. His upside is higher than Bray’s, and even on exposed form I just don’t think Brayshaw’s really shown the match winning ability that Warner has.
